Ls2 Build I am building an LS2 it seems(I keep changing my mind...but I am liking the LS2 haha) I want to have sick low-mid power. And will spray the high end(deffinitly more than a 150 shot, possibly up to a 250). It will be fully forged and I need to decide on heads as well. I am looking at PRC stage 2.5's. I want to have a minimum of 450 all motor at the wheels.
It is a street monster, so I want to rip from a dig-100 and 30-120. I am an auto.

I would top it off with the L92 heads and the L76 intake. Not only will the heads flow alot better but will cost less too. With the right cam you should be able to make 450 at the tires.

I always tell people to figure out what their budget is for the motor package, then we will come up with the best combination of parts to meet that figure.
Is this street performance with limited dragstrip use, or a dedicated strip vehicle?

Build a 402 - I would say a good package outline for a street car would include a Compstar crank, Compstar rods, JE Pistons - good rings at nitrous gap, Main studs, clevite bearings, blueprinted oil pump, AFR or ETP heads and an lsx intake ported with the right cam & valvetrain will make more than your number and live easy.
You could spend $7,000 in parts easy, less or more depending upon just how bulletproof/quality you want it to be. Then machine work and labor can add $3000 for block prep, bore/hone/ line hone/ decking, balancing, assembly.

Search the forums for feedback on the sponsor's work if you don't have a good local machine shop. A lot of shops don't warranty performance motors like we do, so that's an important thing to find out.
