Default need some advice on picking two 427 engines

I am looking at two different packages for a F1C ProCharger build and need help in picking the better package. I think the engines will flow about the same through the heads.

Option 1: $11700 + LS2 core
C5R block
Lunati LS1 4" Crank
Lunati Pro Billet Rods
Diamond or Weisco pistons
Stage III hand ported 243 heads
FAST intake
Jesel sportsman rockers

Option 2: $11000 - no core exchange
LS7 block
Eagle crank
Compstar rods
Diamond or Weisco pistons
Stage III CNC ported L92 heads
L76 intake
L92 rockers

How about option 3. Selll your LS2 or trade it in and use the LS7 heads and intake. A FAST won't keep up like the LS7 intake will. The LS7 heads are killer.

My $.02

I know the sky is the limit, but I was trying to stay on a budget and figured that I could upgrade to a FAST L92 should it hit the marktet later on or sell the L92's and upgrade to a LS7 top end should the fund become available. Option #2, seems like the least expensive way to build a reliable motor capable of handling 800hp.

I guess the real question is - is the C5R/Lunati/Lunati kit worth the extra dollars over a LS7/Eagle/Compstar? I would expect the two listed top ends to flow about the same.

I say option 1 as you can't beat the C5R block and if the extra $ is affordable I would go that route and keep in mind that when it comes to f/i via cent. supercharging the heads are not nearly as important in making huge power vs N/A applications and N20.

Option 3: ERL Super Deck block. Tested at OVER 1600 HP!... I've used 8 of their blocks with no issues... Give them a call.

C5R blocks are great if your running LS1 style computer.

IMO, i'd go with a set of aftermarket heads though, thicker deck for forced induction.

Option 1 seems to be a better platform of those two. What are your goals though? IMO you can build a stouter engine than either of those for less cost. Start with an LSx block, which is already a third of the price of the C5R block, and use roughly the same components.

i would go with an lsx block personally but out of the 2 the first option has better parts in it,except for the heads where i would go after market with those
