I would like to see at least two 8 second cars from the SAM family and I think it won't be long!

Lazy!! Hell, I thought a 1.31 felt pretty awesome! Is that on the back tires? I sixtied 1.31 with 600 hp and a stick . I'm sure you'll see some mid twenties once you get the suspension dialed in and eights won't be a problem. Congrats on your setup. No corners were cut with this project.

Great job.

Did you guys get a weight on this engine before it went into the car? Just curious what an engine like this weighs.

Hmm... maybe they could make a sequential shifter for it still a t56 at heart. I'd buy it. Why let the imports have all the fun?

Sweeet numbers ya'll posted. I can't even imagine what it sounds like.

The LSX block weighs more and the dry sump also adds a little and the intake is heavier. I never thought to independently weigh everything but that would be a good idea Ross. Joe may have weighed the stuff so he might let you know later when he sees this stuff tonight? Some of the internal parts are lighter but not enough to offset this other stuff of course!

Is it proshifted? I thought they said it was a stock gear-set...

Congrats on the new 1/8 mile time! Simply awesome.

I hope to shift my car into the 9's someday, but only If i can drive it to and from the track and to work on nice days. LOL

Best part of a 6spd car is that it can stay streetable far longer than a auto.

I'd think its faceplated. No one that I know really does proshifted stuff anymore and a fully syncronized t56 would slow shifting too much past 7k+ rpm. Either way that power is amazing

It is face plated on the transmission.

As for the block we did not weigh it before it went into the car. We do know the car weights 3275lbs right now and will only have to add about 25lbs of balast for this race.

Thanks,
Amber
