Amber, what clutch are you running? I'm highly considering a face plated T56 for my car. I am building the motor now then the tranny will be next. I'm going to check your site for the specs and pricing tonight.

Piston speed at 10k would be like 32.4 m/s or 6375 ft/min.

Fricken crazy with those big pistons.

It was a joke, moron. To Amber and Joe, I apologize for causing your thread to become polluted. I should have known.

Hahhahaha! Yeah I think Joe and Amber will probably make use of it in a tow rig or something after the shootout with all the low end it makes! If nothing else no one can take Amber's RPM trophy from her like before when people doubted her! She has proof now!

I would like to see at least two 8 second cars from the SAM family and I think it won't be long!
Jud could very well be buried in that car or in his 69 z28 many years from now. With how both cars have made power, I also believe that it will not be long to have them both running 8's. Time will tell. Just a tad more testing and they are Memphis bound.

Glad to see all is well over at your shop. I need to come by and chat with you and Thomas for a bit.

Thanks Racer7088,

IIRC the LSX is roughly 100 lbs. heavier than the LS7 block, so it shouldn't be much more than that.

Hahahahha. No the Ranger is probably not a good bet to make it all the way to Memphis. We will probably go in Greg's fancy car and I think it makes a lil better mileage as well.

I already have 3 other projects similar to this one going down right now as well Cary and one is another LS1techer that may be there and he wants mid 8s out of his engine. We aren't as limited on these engines as they aren't trying to stick by any particular rules. I've already told you about one and we may try your PIMP heads on one as well.

Hope to see you there as well and have a 1000+ hp ETP headed engine running soon!

I have a better video than Amber does. It is on my digital camera too. She seems to turn the camera off as soon as Joe goes past 60ft. I got a good angle of the 5.79 run. Whats the best way to put the video up? YouTube?
