Forged pistons, piston squirters, Ti rods, dry sump, and a beefier block. This block would be great for a custom build.

Right now I'm more interested in the dual disk clutch that sits behind this engine...that might solve a lot of clutch woes associated with these cars.

Good Lord! There are a lot of expensive parts on that motor. I can't wait for the trickle down effect to take place from this technology into good cheap parts for you and me. GM has really stepped up to the plate with this one!

With new EPA standards coming out this might be the best we have for a while.

the block is completely different, the intake setup is completely different, the ls2 intake is a different design to the ls3/ls9 heads, the belt system is completely diferent, the oiling system is different. so not really a s/c ls2. sc ls3... maybe, but still not even close.

Not even close. The LS2 is 6.0L. You are thinking of the LS3 and even that is not even close.

The LS9 has different:
Block
Crank
Rods
Pistons
Cylinder heads
Induction
Belt drive
oiling system

Its a completely unique engine.

Needed to go FI to compete with the Supercharged Ford GT, Supercharged Cobra, or the Supercharged GT500? That would be the pot calling the kettle black wouldn't it?
