Default Z06 Vette LS7 piston failure

Z06 piston failure on #6 with a supercharger. Piston coming apart and scoring cylinder walls badly.

time to forge it! can the block be cleaned up with a bore/hone, or is it too deep?

I will measure tomorrow, just tore down tonite. It will easily catch a finger nail on both scars. Compression was 85psi and will not pass a leak down test.

Default scars

Take a good look at that cylinder wall when you remove the piston. It may be cracked. I can resleeve the block if it is cracked or won't clean up. Don't junk it.

The only positive is that this is a customers engine and not mine.

Sure looks lean on one cylinder. Injector problem?? Intake leaking? Would suck to fix the motor and have it do it again...
