Default Best way to choke a 408 N/A..... unported GMPP L92 Intake FTL!

tuned it... tuner said 91kpa is where it was reading by 4500 rpm..... didnt pick up more power no matter how much timing or fuel. He said the intake is like sucking thru a stirring straw for the motor.

Results will not be posted on my setup until the issue is fixed.

Options are:

-Port the GMPP
-Wait for a Fast 92 L92
-Wait for a Star Products L92

It might work better if you had a good cylinder head/race shop port the intake.

Mike, you've still got some work to do but your guys will figure it out. There aren't a lot of people running the GMPP/elbow setup with the L92's yet.

Good luck,

Kevin

If the MAP is located right under your elbow, then I'd blame it on the elbow/TB/MAF/filter.

Porting the manifold has only gained 5rwhp from the posts I've seen.

I just got my 427 ported L92/L76 tuned and dynoed as well, and mine went to 90kpa in the early 6's. On the dynojet , the peak #'s were 447hp @ 6300 and 400 tq. @ 5600 in an S10 x-cab with poorly fabbed 1 3/4 headers and non-mandrel bent dual 2.5 exhaust, built 4L60 w/ an 11" 3600 converter, a heavy 2 pc. steel driveshaft, and heavy 18" wheels.

Take that for what it's worth. Even with my crappy headers it still pulled that big of a vacuum in the manifold.

Try the Accufab 4 barrell TB on top of the intake. Many going fast with single planes are running this combo.

I would wait man, unless you just have to have it setup now. Since you have the manifold and the elbow you might look into porting, but I would just wait for the fast or the weiand. I'm having to wait also, almost went with the GMPP but some good sources said to wait. *cue Jeopardy music*

My GMPP is working out VERY well. 710 @ the flywheel so far. Once we get some GOOD shaft rockers it will pick up more.

This is a 4 barrell carburetor application, but it's still a GMPP single plane intake and L92s.

Check it out:

you are looking for something more like:

http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...s6/WS6/099.jpg

that would work but it is hard to Maf tune and filter.
