Hmm no bueno, maybe the oil pump oring is pinched, or something messed up in the oil pump. Might wanna double check with a mechanical gauge though..

I'm hoping its just something simple like the oil pump. I really don't want the motor coming back out...

Was it low at initial start-up Jeff? I know Kyle is the man, but could the oil pick-up need to be clearanced from the pan a little more (seems to be an occasional problem with larger strokers)? Oil pump o-ring get pinched?

What kind of symptoms are you having? Verified the pressure with a mechanical guage? Was the pump ported and shimmed?

I know you are in good hands there though, good luck with the issue!

I have no idea on all those questions. I'm still new to the more technical side of this stuff, so I didn't ask too many questions as they would just take to long to explain so I could understand it. They are working on the problem now, we'll see what happens next.

Well found out today that its not the oil filter, pump, or pickup. So that leaves an oil plug behind the front cover and one behind the rear cover. If thats not the problem....then it is a serious problem.

turns out it was just the oil plug in the front of the block, was loose. Fixed now and the pressure is perfect.

Today:

****ing loud!!! I couldn't tell a difference between open headers vs the exhaust welded up! I got to drive it a couple miles, and it was fun. It has a TON of torque off the line, and I never exceeded 1/4 throttle.

Robert and I finished the test drive and were gonna adjust the lockup speeds on the converter, and once we tried to restart it.....the starter went out!! AAAHHH!!! Soooo close to taking it home! We thought it was the battery at first, but after changing batteries, it still wouldn't start. A new starter is going in tomorrow, and assuming that fixes it (should cuz the old one had 155k miles on it), I'll be bringing it home tomorrow evening.

Hello...I was curious to know who those pistons are made by and what is the compression ratio with your L92 heads?
None the less, excellent choice in engine combination.

Wiseco makes the pistons. Regular production now. These new pistons are making 12:1 right on the money with our deck height, and combustion chamber. I was a little surprised about the dome they had, but this is the first 12:1 compression L92/LS3 I built.

Its home! This thing is ridiculous. It is obscenely loud! Quite a handful to drive too. I'll get a vid tomorrow.

Nice looking car, maybe it's time for some mufflers. No sense in attracting unwanted attention.

I was running borla stingers and headers on my vette, but I am going to put on some magnaflow's rear cat system to quiet it down, as I don't want a loud speaker to attract the men in blue.

Got about 360 miles on the motor so far. Here it is Idling at ~1100 rpm. Sound quality does not do justice to the real thing though.

Forgot to update this, but here's a quick breakdown of whats happened.

Motor broke right after break-in. Had to be rebuilt (don't wanna go into that discussion).

Put about 400 miles on it, and trans got too hot. So had to deal with that.

Car is running great now! It pulls sooo hard up top.

Track times coming when I can afford a built 9".

it did 487/444, on an incomplete tune. Made some big changes, and it should be 520+ now.
