I'm sure he's not even home yet, patience guys, he lives in NORTHERN ontario, and was going to EPP, which is in north Indiana, talk about a 15 hour drive one way depending on how FAR north he lives lol. He probably didn't even hit the dyno until today, maybe even tomorrow.

Hahahah ya. It was over 15 hour drive and I had been up 20 hours. I basically got to EPP within the same 5minutes that Bob opened his shop, unloaded the car and went to find food and a hotel and passed out for a bit. Woke up a few hours later, did some running around and went back to check things out. My M9 rear, PST driveshaft and BMR extreme drag bar were in the car and they had done some minor break in on the new rear before getting it up on the dyno.

Im using the wireless in the hotel room right now, and I should have the car on the dyno early tomorrow, so I will post up when Its done and I am back in the room here afterwards. Wish me luck!

Well the numbers are in! Im in the hotel so I cant scan in the dyno sheets but I will once I am back home the end of the weekend.

I knew my exhaust was going to be a huge restriction and apparently I was right. Ive currently got Pacesetter 1-3/4" headers with a ORY and an electric cutout between it, and the factory rear single muffler.

The first pull was with the cutout closed and it made 464/401
We then opened the cutout and adjusted the tune for it and put down 485/412

Keep in mind this is on a Mustang dyno, the exhaust as I mentioned, its an auto with a big stall, no break in hardly on the motor, brand new M9 rear end with 3.70 gears and Valvoline VR1 20w50 oil.

We then took the load off of the dyno rollers which simulates a DynoJet dyno and did a final pull. We put down 522/436

The numbers dont tell the whole story, the graphs explain it alot better. If you seen how long the graph carries peak power, its unreal!

Plus if I had a better flowing exhaust and headers Im sure it would make alot more. Bob recommended a set of 2" stepped headers and some real exhaust lol.

We also tried the quarter mile simulator and I got a 11.30 @ 128.8 with a 1.94 60 foot. It was spinning on the rollers quite a bit. Im sure with some tires at the strip getting a better 60 foot I should be in the 10's which is my goal with this combo.

I am headed to the track the weekend of the 8,9,10th this month. Anxious to put all this work into play and get some track results!

Id really like to thank Bob, Brent, Drew and the rest of the crew (still a little tired from the trip so terrible with names) from EPP for being so amazing and helpful. For going above and beyond and out of their way for me, putting up with me hanging around the shop over their shoulders the entire time (lol) and paying such close attention to detail and making sure I left happy. It has been the best dyno experience Ive had and probably the best customer service experience in general. The whole entire experience was amazing and I wish I didnt have to leave. haha. They are great people and a great shop, I dont regret taking the 15 hour drive, and I wouldnt hesitate to do it again.

Id also really like to thank Tony Mamo. These heads/valvetrain came off of his solid roller 383 in his vette. Lot of you may be familiar with his dyno testing of that motor and he recently parted it out to build a new motor to showcase his new 235cc heads. I used his heads/crane shaft mount solid rockers, lifters and 8" pushrods. He then spec'd me out a bigger solid cam than what was in his motor because of the extra cubes I had. Also for answering all of my crazy questions over the last 8+ months lol. I couldnt of done it without his parts and help. It just simply wouldnt of been possible.

Last but not least Texas Speed for building me what appears to be a stout and solid shortblock that has put up with 7500rpm pulls and 7100 rpm shifts with many more to come.

Good power, but a little low on the torque side. What is the LSA of that cam? Mine didn't make the power that you made, or that I was hoping for, but it makes up for it in torque.

Either way I know that you are glad to get her done! Good Job!

Is yours a solid roller engine? That makes a difference. Its a 114 LSA. I am told that my torque numbers should be higher but it isnt because of my converter. It wasnt locking up until around 5600rpm.

Yes I am extremely glad. Thanks alot.

No mine is a hydraulic roller on a 112 LSA. I believe my motor needs a 114 LSA to make more horse power, but I don't really want to turn it too high.

You can probably dial yours in some more, and yes your torque convertor may have hurt you some.

Thanks, we really enjoyed having you at the shop. It is rare for us to see an N/A engine make as much power on our Mustang Chassis Dyno as your did! Bob

Thanks Bob!

I picked up some bigs n skinnies at Summit on the way home as I had mentioned I might, so we will see what I can put down in the 1/4 this comming weekend.

I also ordered the Comp Cams belt tensioner while I was at Summit, they had 2 or 3 in stock, just not at their location so it is being sent to me.

No not yet! I might try after work tonight depends how much energy I have, lol. I got 5 hours sleep last night, so thats 5 hours in two days and Im working a 12 hour shift. haha

I know I'll have to grind the rear calipers forsure. I'll post em up when I get em, along with all kinds of other pics I said I would be posting (eventually)

You think you'll make it out to the races this weekend?

Ground the rear calipers today, rear wheels fit now without rubbing. Tomorrow I will do the fronts and mount them up and take it for a drive around the block to see how it feels
