I understand that. But it seems like these beefier aftermarket products are breaking more than OEM.

Also I mentioned this to Patrick G, but Imma tell all you guys..

Im gonna use this tune (ls1 when it had a Tv3 and 5.3 heads with stock injectors) to breakin the 402 with bigger cam., and LS6 manifold.... After I break it in, Im gonna put on a FAST 92/92 and biggr 36# injectors and get a new Tune for the bigger cam, injectors, etc...

So Im using a LS6 manifold, the tune I had when it was a Ls1 with Tv3, and stock injectors... Until I break in the 402...

I wont go High RPMS at WOT, but I will go WOT at like 20 mph, in say 3rd of 4th gear to put load on the engine, until say...4000rpms and no more..

Anyone?

is the above post a good idea? will it work? what do you recommend??

Also a totally unrelated thing, but I want to post pics of my old tune and how rich it seemed, I only drove the car 80 - 100 miles or so after it was tuned... Seems waaay too rich if you ask me. however. I did try starting the car and gace some throttle lots of times after the car just wasnt starting anymore...

Brake in is 3 heat cycles, change the oil and toss it on the dyno. It's what I always do.

explain the heat cycles. Just drive like normal til full temp could be a heat cycle, but I think Im gonna need to do more than Just that per heat cycle...

Also what do u think about going WOT, but never at High RPMS, just putting load so being in a gear not suitable for my speed... Im doing this because Im on stock LS1 injectors..., til i break it in...

You can load it, but don't go WOT. That throws you into a different set of timing tables. Go 3/4 throttle and keeps the rpms under 5000 or so.

Before you move it though, crank it up and get to operating temp and then kill it and let it cool completely. This is for your valve springs.

Thank you. But I have already heat cycled my valve springs... I am re using the old heads that had under 150 miles on them..But They havent been used since january, so should I still do the heat cycle then?

Also I must prime the engine first again too, I forgot...

wtf I just got my shipment from Harland sharp... I ordered rocker arm pedistools and I pictured the wrong thing. The pedisools are these upside down looking bolt things, what I meant to order was the aluminum metals that the rockers sit on.. Like a long, flat metal. What is that called?

maybe I didnt need the pedistools! Ah well, Ill just keep em as spares
