As far as I am concerned they are the best out there for the LSX plattform. They Build all of our engines and we put them through hell. They also build all of our customers engines. If you are getting something as simple as a stock rebuild, to a 2400 HP LSX monster they will definatley get you fixed up

i would put there among the top few, but check out HKE they are probably the best out there and if you like talk to 99blancoss he can get you some great deals on engines aswell. erik koenig the engine builder for HKE is definitely known to be in the elite of lsx engines and he is the only one i trusted to build my engine

I only know LME by rep but I am literally down the street from them and LMR and I know the LMR guys pretty well. I would not hesitate to drop coin on LME as I have LMR, their work and reputation speaks for itself. Lose zero sleep.

I can only speak from my personal experience. LME took care of me, I have no doubt that HKE would be the same. For me LME had the shortblock components there and time was a factor. There built the long block and there was a couple of bumps which Brian handled perfectly. I must have bugged him like 30 times asking all kinds of questions and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I have a LME 408 and love it! Quality engine. I live across the ocean in Hawaii and own one. 1500 miles is nothing. j/k

My buddy owns a LME 408 over here as well

i just had my ls2 built by them this summer. its sitting at ups to be delivered this wednsday. their customer service seems excellent and my tuner does a lot of business with lme. so both recommended each other.
i also had them assemble the engine as a fully covered long block to keep everyones hand out of the motor. to help avoid a finger pointing game.
brian seems nice and all though theres no warranty on performance motors, he has stated no problem standing by his work at start up and the first few hours(breakin) of the engine.
like you i was nervous of mail ordering something like this but between my tuner and lme it seems if there is any problems i can get them resolved between the 2 shops.
bottom line is to talk to a few lsx based shops and go with who makes you feel more comfortable. they are all human and are all capable of mistakes. the one who seems more to admit a mistake , to me is the better choice. i try to avoid doing business with with people that have GOD complexes because lets face it, they are never wrong.

Thanks. I couldn't believe when they closed Hawaii Raceway Park, especially with the street scene there.

I am also 1500miles away. I'm no engine builder and just have basic knowledge on putting together a package. I buy the motor, a local shop installs it, and I've had not one issue. They have built the last 3 engines for different projects I've put together. All of them made good power and have stood up to the abuse thrown at them on the street and drag strip. My first motor I only used for 8000 miles, my second one I put 14000 miles on it and the last one that is in my C6 has almost 7000 miles on it already. Brian and Pecos are great guys and I would buy with confidence again.

Yeah, WTF is up with that? I say you can't go wrong with either HKE or LME, but I am sure both will have their supporters and cheerleaders. I would contact Erik as well, since he has been nothing but a gentleman with my questions (even after buying from LME); but I am curious for turbo'd stang to explain himself cogently.

Oh yeah... We would definately buy from LME again! BTW we are more than 1500 miles away from LME.
