Got a truck vin #, how do I find out what motor is has?

Default Got a truck vin #, how do I find out what motor is has?

How can I get the motor code (not just the engine size but the code) from a vin # ?

I have the vin #'s here.

It's a 5.3L if I'm not mistaken (8th digit) 2007 year model (10th digit).

Look at the 8th digits in the Vins. The first is a code "0" engine,the second is a "0" code engine.

Not that code, I mean like LH6, LH8, LY5, LMF, LMG, LM7 L33 etc...


That code tells you what kind of 5.3 is in there.

"0" is a "LMG" 5.3 compression ratio 9.95:1.
