Would it be possible to resleeve the RHS for a larger 4.200 bore?

I agree with having sustained consistency with the iron block first. Standard height for me, personally.

Robin

So what is the pricing going to be on this block? I really like the iron block but would really like the aluminum LSX.
Who has them?

Robin what's the max stroke on the tall deck? The regular deck my understanding is that any more then a 4.1 you really can't build a good nitrous piston for it.... now long can we go with the tall deck?

At 4.1 you wouldnt have a good piston.
keep it 4.0 for std deck.

4 inch for the standard deck.... what about the tall deck motor? Another .6 worth of deck height, what can you do with that, 4.5, 4.6?

Default Tall Deck Aluminum

Is there even any banter at GMPP about an aluminum LSX?

Doesnt quite work that way.

With the LSX having a stock cam location the crank would hit the cam or close.

The RHS or Dart billet has raised cam but you still need to make sure you can build a strong piston for nitrous. 4.5 is out maybe you could squeeze a 4.25 and be OK, we are going with a 4.125 to MAKE SURE. We need Gorrila pistons

Hmmm... I would think that with the added deck height of .6 you'd have enough there to go more then 4.125.. But, with that short of a stroke your top ringland should be able to be about 1/2 an inch thick LOL. I don't see that one burning up anytime soon.

If you're only going 4.125 stroke, you're not going to be able to get much bigger then you were before, the RHS from what I read a while back was a max of 4.16 bore. If that's true, you're not going that big on the motor... 4.16 bore with a 4.125 is only a 448. I thought you guys were looking for 480 or something.

Tall deck lsx, if a 4.25 will fit (providing there's no problems with cam clearance) and a 4.17 bore would make a nice 464... that would be a good size, providing there's no clearance problems. Not sure what the options for a piston would be at that point, but I'd like to think it would be o.k.... but without talking to a piston guy I have no idea.
