Thank India, and the greed of an American company.

Buy Warhawk or C5R next time.

So how different are the 6 bolt LSX heads they are casting currently compared to the GM 6 bolt LSX heads you have on your engine

I have not seen those heads yet. I saw the plastic models at SEMA and PRI. I did study them during any breaks in the action. From what I am told the small port version is similar to what I have now. I was told the changes are subtle.
The one that I want to see is the large port version. I hear the numbers are 20 to 30 higher than the heads that I have now.

I hope they are close as I would like to use my current intake manfold when the new heads become available.

Oil galleys are not in the same spot as the iron block. Also the LSX block has more bolt bosses for a motor plate that the block in the picture is missing.

Also the LS-X is not the same as the trade marked LSX logo.

I don't remember the oil galleys on the RHS/Comp block.

Tall deck, raised cam, spread pan rails. Needs to be big enough for 500+ cubes.
Hell, if you're gonna dream, dream big.

This needs to come out soon. I'd absolutely love to have something like this. Either version would be good, but a tall deck would be the best.

That is not our block. Someone is playing with you. Notice the lame attempt to cover up the casting number under the GM Logo.

It's a production block of some kind.

It doesn't have any of the extra bolt holes in the front or back of the block.

Oil galleys are wrong also.

Nice try......

Robin what is the time frame for the alum block to be out? I'm waiting to start anything until this is available, I want to see what this will have to offer vs the RHS/Comp block.

Robin,

I noticed a few of those things. I was simply referring to my desire to have an aluminum LSx block that will hopefully be priced close to the iron version.

Robin, I would do at least 5.800 long sleeves in it so more stroke and better pistons can be used even on the normal deck height version. I know the Sunnen hones have no issue at all honing a bore like that in an LSx style block with the right machining and honing overtravel built in as we do it everyday.

If you did a tall deck then the raised cam would be nice as well as making sure the oil galley won't get hit by the stroke ala RHS.

Great point. Its weird that RHS didn't move the oil galley outward so that clearancing won't cut into it. Would make it a little "easier" to fit a 4.6" stroke in there.
