You already bought an LSX tall deck and now you are asking these questions?
Thoes are some hellacious rods.
Also i could be wrong but the LSX block is iron not Al and you have a picture of an Al block there...

LSX = Iron (so far)

I wasn't aware the tall deck LSX was even released yet?!? BTW our LSX block has that orange/red paint all over the place...

Tall deck LSX hasn't even been released yet.

But if you do have some sort of special insider privilege with GM or something and DO have one of these yet-to-be released blocks, I wish you much luck on getting aluminum rods to clear the cam with a 4.375" stroke. In other words, ain't gonna happen. . . .

Thats NOT the LSx tall deck. Its obvious not only by the deck itself, but the valley. Not to mention it the wrong material.

That looks like an ERL type block with the extra deck added to a LS7 or LS2 block.
The LSX tall deck has not been released to the public. Yes there is one in the hands of a builder for a project. But this isn't the one.

As stated above getting those rods to clear with that stroke is going to be tough. We like the 60MM cams so that makes it even more difficult.

When we raise our can tunnel we also move the lifter bores up to match the cam. The OEM style aluminum blocks have very little room in lifter bore area.
It's going to be a bunch of work in that block.

Good luck!

Robin

That is not the block he is referring to. That is a photo from one of my posts of my manifold. that one in the pic is just a ls1 block. just wanted to clear that up.
