Default 4.0" stroke vs 4.125" in ls2 block using n2o

i've read and heard that if u plan on runnin a big shot of spray(200 to 300) in an ls2block the longer stroke causes reliability issues. now i plan on runnin trick flow heads and a decent set of head gaskets so my questions are
1. is anyone runnin a similar set up
2. will the longer stroke be ok on a 200 to 300 shot
3. am i better off with a shorter stroke using n20

thanks

I'd leave it at a 4inches and let the nitrous do it's job.

fwiw I'm running a 402 ls2 block/nitrous combo

i would stick with the 4.0" stroke, the more the stroke the farther the wrist pin gets pushed up into the ring lands which means u can bring the ring land down too far too spray alot of nitrous... i'm doing the 4.100 stroke but wished i would have stayed with the 4.0" stroke..

Personally I'm hoping that GM, or some other manufacturer comes out with another alum block with another 1/2 inch of deck height, so I can build a 4.1x4.1 nitrous motor, that will have a really good rod/stroke ratio, and have lots of room between the wristpin and the rings.

Or, go back to a 3.8 stroke with a 4.125 bore. Either would work

I have a 3.9 stroke in my motor so we could build a better N20 piston.

Good move, my thoughts are that the next motor I build, if GM doesn't come out with an alum lsx block that has either longer liners or added deck height, is to look into a dart billet block, or a C5R and have it converted over to use the 6 bolt heads, and either of them will be a 4.125 bore with a 3.9 stroke.

Or just buy a ERL LS2 block that comes with longer liners, a large bore and can be set up for a 6 bolt head. I also would not do a 4.1 stroke, as not only will your wrist pin be pushed up to far like stated but your piston speed will be insane.

I wouldnt go over a 4" stroke on any LS motor other than the LS7 which has a longer liner/sleeve.
