The valve spring listed for the LS7 Assembly is on page 281 of the 2008 GMPP catalog.

It says that the spring is good for .600" lift.

So how am supossed to use the GMPP stage 3 cam?
Does GMPP have something to go with this cam or is it a case of aftermarket as Id rather stick with GMPP.

I would say you need to go aftermarket.

Out of curiousity why do you want to stay GMPP??

Thanks, we appreciate that! I really don't care for that cam anyway. Look at the showroom stock cam. With the LS7 Ratio of 1.8 it would yield a lift of .603" at the valve.
The lobe sep is about the same, the intake duration is a little bigger and the exhaust duration is a bunch less.

A 12 degree split instead of a 43 degree split.

Nothing bad about GMPP stuff at all. I was under the impression that GMPP didn't offer a spring for the head that would accomodate the cam he wanted. That is all.

FWIW I run lots of GM stuff on my car.ls7 block, ls7 heads, ls7 intake, Valve Covers....

With the LS7 Heads? With what manifold? I would not run that close of a lobe sepration with a stock mnifold. In LS7 with a 4 Barrel manifold I would guess it would be in the range of 580 to 600 Horsepower at the crankshaft.

I was thinking CNC ls7 heads SS cam and headers.

Why not with stock manifold?

So I could stick the cam in with no p2v clearance probs or changing springs etc?

Thank you for all the help its appreciated.
