Default LV3 manual trans options

Hi does anyone have any insight on what manual trans will bolt up to the LV3 4.3 V6? Will it accept a trans off an LS engine? It came with the TR-3450 trans in Mexico but its not practical to obtain one of those used. Looking for more of a "car" type trans, something that shifts quicker than an NV3500. It'll be going into a 2wd '89 Toyota prerunner project truck.

The LV3 is a Gen II small block with 2 cylinders missing. Anything that will bolt to the back of a small block Chevy will bolt to this engine.

You're thinking of the old school iron block 4.3, the LV3 is an all aluminum Gen V EcoTec3 engine, 2014 to present

Oops my bad! In that case how different is the rear of a Gen V block that the Gen III-IV blocks?

I would bet it is the same as the Gen V V8 engines, but I do not know this for a fact.

Looks the same to me...

Call Rockland standard gear i bought a new 3450 trans from them 3 years ago for $1500 bucks. Tranny has been great but it is a truck tranny so you can't powershift 2 to 3 but 1 to 2 you can powershift. I have it in a 1992 chevy pickup with a 5.3 heads and cam.

I wanted a manual for my project with an LV3 but sticking with the 6L80 was a lot less money. I couldn't find an 8 bolt clutch package that didn't break the bank. I was going down the truck transmission path, so I can't suggest anything smoother. The other thing to watch is the crank might be shallow for a manual input. I know of a couple that looked good but busted the block when bolted up. I believe a spacer will solve that. I hope you have better luck then me.
