Wheel or crank?

If crank, who's pulling one out to verify numbers?

If wheel, well you didn't give low enough choices..

Obviously its crank hp. And we can do what we always do... wait for the official hp release from the manufacturer. Should be easier dont you think?

Seems like the 460-470hp range is the overall favorite.

I think we would all love to see a 490hp+ base car. If you take the increase gm achieved with their 3.6, there is the possibility that the final numbers could get as high as 490hp if not more.

The engine, besides the move to DI, has a few tweaks that should net more than a 14hp increase when compared to a stock ls3 with npp. One thing is for certain is thst this engine is probably going to love FI and e85.

Point of order...

Are we talking about true horsepower or advertised horsepower. If advertised, I'll bet GM will pick a special number from its past engines or race cars.

GM uses the new SAE testing procedures. It will be true.
