shawns rear seal is bad.

here is the thing it was leaking oil out of the bell housing last week, so thinking it is the rear main I pulled the transmission so find a clean back of the motor. However my flywheel had a brown haze and clutch disk had seen some oil. Now not being the rear main I had a bolt on the oil pan that was leaking a lot of oil. LS1-450 and I came to the conclusion this had wicked itself back into the bell housing. But I dropped the pan a little and did some patch work, that bolt is now dry but i don't know where its leaking from now. it has to be in the bell housing somewhere. it might be the oil pan gasket at the back of the motor now.

O ad the back of the flywheel wasn't really oily the first time it came off.

Check your oil pressure sensor, I thought my oil pan was leaking, until I looked around, and it was coming from up top.

Thank you Brent. I actually just thought of that today. I broke that when I changed my knock sensors. Today I found the little red o ring that goes on the switch. I totally forgot to check to see if the new one had one or not...

araber.... you should have changed the rear seal if you had everything tore down that far. kinda a no brainer but whatever. if you had, that may have been your problem or may not. atleast now you would have known where to look elsewhere.

ls1-450.... wow wtf ! ? he got butt hurt cause of what bob n corey said? really? i really didnt see anything out of line there but idk, he must have taken it the wrong way. kevin is a cool guy, and every1 has there opinions but not sure i would tell some1 that they dont know what there doing, especially if its there perferssion.....
