ive never seen 4.10s in an a3, lol thts wayy to much gear. w the th400 setup i wanna run, i can cruise the highway at 75 @ 2500 rpm. and do 75 mph in first gear! and the same setup has gone mid-high 8s
look at it this way matt, the a3's are geared higher in the trannyrather than in the rear end. all the quick turbo guys are runnin 3.00 or 3.08 gears. no need for nething more.
kinda another reason i dont like the 4l60, not having enough speed outa the thing. all these guys who throw 373s in theyre cars, cant mph like the a3s.
a 4l60e w 4.10s can only do 117-118 mph at the track(about 11.90s)
3.73 car will go about 129mph(about 11.20s)
th400 with 3.00 gear will do 163 mph(8's)
basically the 4l60s run out of gear,then you have to put a shorter gear in them, and then the 60' will suffer.
i like cake too much, i figure out ways to have my cake and eat it too
