communications with these guys over the last couple of years have had them showing no interest in our market, so we havent been to keen to try

Clubsport i think it willn't work on our car here, so, if you want OBD-II scan tool specifically designed for the GM LS1 engine management system i would go for the EFILiveV5 as i'm a beta testing for this product, i can say it will be support very shortly with it own Forum, once up and running.
The product is the best i seen so far, compared to Autotap.
Cost is $395.00 compared to Capa selling Autotap for $695.00.
The product is very reliable, compare to the opposition, we have presently 8 beta tester here in Australia and 2 in the States.

HPP3 will not work on our cars full stop !!
If you want tune your PCM or make changes you will need a PCM editor or a tuner that can do the job..
Andrew was talking more about the diagnostic tools you can buy more so than Tuning tools of which you were asking about..

Clubsport i should just read your post again, missed the bit about TUNER i was point you towards the Diagnostic tool we are using at this moment, and like what OzTuner said the LS1EDIT is the go for our car's.
Hoping to be released within the next few week's.
