I have been a member of another forum for a few months, but I just noticed that you guys have a section for LT1's too, which interests me because my car is a 96 Trans Am. You also have a forum for paint and body work, which interests me because my car is a rebuild. You also have a forum for convertibles, which my car is. So lots more to learn here. I already posted a couple of questions, and also some answers that hopefully people will find helpful. Or maybe they will think I am just a know-it-all noob. Either way, I'm glad to be here.

Welcome, I am in Thomasville Too as Andy(Carter01) said. I know its kinda old but I just saw this thread. I dont think I have seen your car around. I will have to check it out. I have a 98 Z28 with the Slp Ultra Z hood and SS spoiler. It is Artic white.

SGMP does test and tunes a couple times a month. It is pretty nice over there for sure. Maybe we can meet up around town sometime and bs a little and maybe go over to the track sometime.

Yeah, I mainly only drive it on weekends. It is still in the project phase. If you ever see it, you will definitely know it is me. From the doors back it is red...but the front is green/maroon/black with cool primer spots, and some wheels that look like they belong on a pickup truck. I was at G-13 in May and gave everyone a laugh. But it runs fine and the interior is near perfect, now that I have cleaned out all the carpet stains and chicken bones from under the seats.

I checked out the website for SGMP and was ready to head over there a while back for a test and tune night. But I called to ask if there were special requirements for a convertible, and found out I need a helmet. So I had to dig my old motorcycle helmet out of storage. But now I have a tranny leak that I want to fix before going there. I hit a concrete block someone left in the middle of I-10 a couple weeks ago heading back from P.C. Beach one night, so I need to replace my tranny pan. It still runs fine, but it will leave about a 3-inch spot of cherry juice in the driveway after a few hours. Hope to get over there soon. I want to get a few benchmark runs on it while it is still mostly stock, then track my progress as I make mods.
