Hey everybody I'm a newbie ls1 owner coming out of Albuquerque, NM. I just recently bought a 00 camaro SS m6 with 70,000 miles that came with flowmaster muffler and an SLP intake kit. Everything else is stock. I had a few questions on some performance upgrades??? I want to put an exhaust system on it, not too sure about headers just yet, i also want to gear it. Wat i want to know is wat brand of exhaust is best for my car and if i should go off road y-pipe, x-pipe, or y-pipe with a cutout? And also cat or no cat? And gear wise I've heard 4:10's are best for my car. Any opinions? Also is there any upgrades that i should do before i do either of these?

On the SE side. Near the base. She's alright lol. I am getting there, I am looking to get her cammed next month. Forgot to answer the other question. No I don't daily drive it. Used to have to for a while there when I first got it. Now I use the beater car lol. 96 elantra.

My firehawk is NBM. Went with mids because got them at a good price and our emissions figure I can get a catted y in the future.

Exhaust is your personal preference... Whatever you do dont go flowmaster they dont flow well at all! Magnaflow is a real nice system and is somewhat mild in tone. Borla is actually my favorite but its pricey. Lm1 sounds good with manifolds but is LOUD and gets raspy with headers. 4.10 gears is good for a 6 speed car if its auto keep it down to 3.73s.
