New guy from NC- remedial introduction Rob B. from Raleigh, NC here. I have owned 2 LT1 cars; my stock 93 Formula went bye bye in '98 to pay legal bills (don't get me started). I bought a '94 Formula last summer and have been building it up since August.
I've posted a few replies, realized I'd forgotten my manners. Greetings and salutations...
My handle, Gojira94 is for the green monster from the Japanese sci-fi flicks (Gojira = Godzilla), not the French death metal band, though there's nothing wrong with DM IMHO. Corny name for me but what the hell.
Love my 377RWHP green monster with an LT1 under the lid! Have gotten a lot of good info here and a few other places before joining (strangely not until the build was done and I'd learned a lot of lessons along the way). Props and a shout out to the mods and especially to forum member SHBox, aka "Shoebox."
Raleigh is a nice medium-sized town and is the capital of NC. Lots to do here. Definitely not Mayberry...

Hey I'm new to the board also. I live outside of Fayetteville, but my fiancee lives in Raleigh off Six forks rd (I'm up there everyother weekend). Do u ever visit Fayetteville Motorsports park, Dunn-Benson or Piemont Dragstrip?

Hey KMW,
Never made it to those venues but definitely plan to spend more time going when it warms back up. Haven't really been to local strips, just used to go to Wake county speedway to watch the legends and late model. Congrats on the upcoming wedding. You military? My old man was and his old man was and his old man was... my timing was off and never joined up.

i go to fayetteville dragstrip all the time! i hav a 98 pewter c5 corvette cammed out. what do you have kmw0481???

I havent run my Monte Carlo yet. I used to run a blue 81 camaro on Sunday Test and tune. But most of the time I'm with my buddy Mickey, he has the Silver 85 Cutlass (sleeper). Ive done losts of work on that car. My buddy Mark is track manager out there also. I work there every now and then. If I seen yuor car I might wold recognize it.

Welcome from Fuquay Varina (or as some say, fuckway vagina lol). I'm in the Cary/Raleigh area a lot. If you ever want to take your car to a track, Benson is roughly 45 min from here although it's only a 1/8th mile. Fayetteville is about an hour and a half. Rockingham is about the same distance but I think their track is a little nicer and it's literally just a straight shot down US-1 south.
