new guy from mississippi hey fellas my names tucker estes im from philadelphia ms i have a 2002 firebird formula 6 speed nhra special edition and a 98 z28 daily driver feel free to ask any questions and thanx for having me on the site!
Yea 3rd gear let go again the other night on 49. Looks like I'll be riding in my 250 until uncle sam lets me get it fixed lol. I'll probably take it to Nelson Temple. I've made a few 9 second passes and a ton of low 10 sec passes on his trans before w/o any problems. If it messes up again I might put a 6 speed in it and really tear some **** up lol

I've thought really hard bout swapping to a 6 speed and like u said it'll be tearing up and expensive to build and clutches are expensive, I'm gonna let Scotty sites off t/a build mine I've heard great things bout his work and he warranties it, tex or call me an I'll give u his number an we can talk bout broke transmitions lmao

HAHA. Yeah right when we went there was about 2 or 3 races that was schedualed. If you know what I'm saying... The only serious street racing that weekend was me and some friend racing in front of our hotel on the beach front hahaha(not serious but fun haha)..

Not yet it broke befor winter wars, i ran at the summer shootout or fall shootout at battlefeild in mod street i'm far from being competative but after a few months it should be eating a 400 shot and strolling out or breaking alota stuff

A 400 shot on a LS based motor? I hope you have a 12 bolt or 9". What you gonna do for a transmission? I have built several th350's for LS cars. A 400 shot on a LS with a transbrake would be cool.

It's a moser 9 inch Im getting my 4l60 built I kno it's prolly gonna explode within the first 4 passes but I love overdrive, I need to get a 4l80 built for it but I've heard it gets xrazy expensive to get the computer software to make it shift and customize the crossmember and drive shaft and a converter for one is expensive, I have thought bout tryin to make a 6 speed car out of it we swaped my brothers car but I'm not shure if it'd be any cheaper to build a t56 and buy a super good clutch I wanna dyno my car just to see where it's at I doubt it's making over 6 or 7
