Default Lexus SC400 Widebody v8 boost introduction

Hey everyone,

Im joining the Site here to gobble up information on everything LS motor related for my up and coming swap.

Currently I have a 1995 Lexus SC400 that is a 1 off wide body set up on BC coilovers, Adjustable upper and lower front and rear control arms.

The set up it has in it now is a 4L toyota v8 6 main bolt 1uzfe that I have mated a supra getrag 6 speed and ported m90 blower on it running meth as well. only 8psi made a little under 415hp.

I'm currently in the process of selling off my whole drive train and going ls1/ls2 with a t56 tranny swap with a nice big single turbo set up using an hx35 or hx40 running a stack cluster set up with a haltec ECU. My goal is safely reaching 700hp with a turn key set up. I'm keeping A/C I'm keeping Power steering and I'm also keeping ABS. This will be a road warrior that i can hop in and drive any day of the week with little to no fuss. Retain all the factory comforts as well as the diveability of a factory sports car but it will have 700 pony's on tap to allow for some fun with the local honda's

My vision is to stay true to my user name. A Japanese body retaining smooth lines and handling characteristics with the heart of a roaring American Muscle Icon. Should be pretty rowdy when im finished

Are those tilted safe with the power you are making now?

JDM Muscle? Whats up it's QwkSC from Club Lexus.

Glad to see yet another SC with an LSx swap in the works. Since you are going to boost it, have you considered a 5.3 iron block? much cheaper and will hold amazing amounts of power with the only tradeoff being an extra 80lbs or so.

Pretty good looking car man. I love the LEDs. I would personally only use them as puddle lights. Love the current setup. I am a sucker for a twin screw.

Thanks man, But honestly is very annoying. Sensors everywhere, Parts are non-existent, Im almost 25k into this set up and it will max out at 450hp WITH meth. I dunno, I just am not happy with it. I got a 5.3 block for 150$ and a big fat holset hx40 for free lol

Thanks man, They are Puddle lights tho, only on the sides. Its a VIP culture thing. Brabus also has them. they are the only lighting effects on the car

Tilted? You mean the camber? it will be adjusted out now that im running less side wall, should only be around -0.8 camber when its done.

Hey man, thanks! yeah I am using the 5.3 with a holset hx40, Planning on running around 18-25 psi with a haltec. No corners will be cut, I have always been very thorough in my builds. This will be no exception. My goal is around 750-800hp with Meth. Daily driven capability even thought it is not my daily. I want turn key power that I don't have to fiddle with.

Im not going to lie, the blower does sound cool, but i am so addicted to waste-gate and BOV noise. More power potential as well

Is there a specific Area on this forum that it would be acceptable to start and keep updating a user specific Build thread?

That's badass bro.... I have a 1999 SC400 It's bone stock and I love it.

Please keep us updated on the build, I personally would love to make this swap down the line myself.
