hello from Cleveland Oh
Im new to the site. I have a 1971 camaro with sbc 400. I just picked up 2000 lq4 with harness and computer. I am hoping to swap. any advice is apreciated. my car has stock hood so I know I will need intake, fuel rails, and either f body drive acc. or make some brackets. I was trying to figure out how to post a thread to buy that stuff here but Im not sure where or how. thanks for the help!

welcome to site. I think you can run truck intake and still clear hood. LT1Swap.com has info on the wiring. I have a 5.3 in my 76 skylark it fits under hood. look on craigs list in your area, ebay or look into parts section on here. I believe hooker and holley has swap mounts that will work well for you. you will need a oil pan, don't use the GM muscle car pan as it hangs lower than crossmember. I know as I need to change mine from experiencing it before I read on here about it. good luck.

thanks for your input. from what I read is the truck intake is about 1 in to high on second gen camaro with stock hood. I have not been able to find anyone who has been able to make it fit. Does anyone know if the truck injectors will work with car intake.
