Hello everyone I'm a regestee to these forums. I just recently purchased a '98 T/A M6 red t-tops. I love this car I have been wanting one of these f-bodies for the longest. I decided on purchasing a non-WS6 package T/A cuz or insurance (which rapes everyone over just an options) and the fact its only maybe 20hp of a diff (that is unless I might possibly have one of the earlier edition models that one of the forums state might have a 350hp motor I think cuz its got a c5 cam in it)and susp. I had a nice lowrider c/k1500 prior to my t/a but it matches none to the f-body. Actually I even think I looked up more parts for f-bodies then my truck and I loved my truck. Welcome to the board! There really isn't that much difference between the WS6 and the non-WS6. They both got an LS1, and that is all that matters

Welcome and fyi jsut about all the LS1's C5 cam or not have approx 350 flywheel horsepower (at the motor) the C5 cam just has a higher ramp rate thatn the stock 98 cam however the 98-00 cam is larger thatn the C5 cam is and witht he LS1 intake manifold and the more restrictive Heads, it tends to not bump up the horsepower rather it fopcus's it to make power more effectively throughout th power band but because of its restrictions it is not able to do that so well. (Don't mean to burst your bubble or anything you would have learned this sooner or later however) But none the less your car may be stronger than most 98's.
