Thats one of the dumbest things I've ever heard

First of all, the F-Body was made by General Motors. GM is an American based and owned company. Their headquarters is in Michigan.

Just because they choose to assemble some of their vehicles in Canada does not make them "imports". It makes it an American designed car, produced by an American company, assembled in Canada.

Calling an F-Body an "import" is just plain retarded.

Smart move. I own an SS, and my mother has a 350Z. My car is at the dealership getting repairs done from when some jackass rear-ended my car, so I have been driving her car for about a week now. My only praise on the 350Z is its superb handling and great steering. But the car has absolutely no torque...I hate it. It takes high-speed turns very well for what it is, but it just won't GO. Maybe it is because it such a smooth car...I don't like it, too refined and girly. I just love the feeling of how violent my SS is. Every time I mash the gas, I swear Satan is the powerplant.

Ok, so...contrary to what some others are saying...I think the 350Z's look good, but thats about it. If you want power...fugit it!

Then again, my second car is a little 03 Hyundai Tiburon with a whoppin' 185hp and I still get looks in it from 350Z guys! LOL

Go for the SS and I bet you will not be disappointed!

Yah man go for the SS. The 350 is just too much of a hassle and too $$$ to get it runing like a slightly modded f-body.. There are a few busted ones round my town..

yeah I know what you mean guys, torque is king. It's like when I drive my brother's F430 (yeah he's loaded) - that thing only has 343 ft lbs of torque. It just really sucks when you're driving at like 2000-3000 rpms and the thing has no ***** at all.

That's what I love about the SS. When you stomp on the gas you can really feel that torque hit hard - like a truck. It's just awesome. It's pathetic when a car NEEDS a turbo to go as fast as my stock SS

I think I read somewhere about 350Z's using 315 tires in the rear and I freakin laughed cause they could just barely fit them in. The SS can fit freaking HUGE tires on it

besides, I'm always hearing how heavy they are, aren't they like 3500-3600 lbs now with the convertable being even more? lame My SS is even lighter than them

sure you can. The Z is like factory tubbed. I have 19 inch wheels all around the car and in the rear I have 285 with enough room to do 305 easily. Even upfront I have 245/35/19 with no issues.

some guy from VRT has 285 up front and 315 in the rear of his 350Z, but those are soooooo pathetically small compared to what you can fit on a domestic car!!

my 94 f body was assembled in canada....not all the f bodies were assembled here. but yea, you shouldn't be calling it an import just cuz it was assembled some where else.

I raced (rolled) a 2006 350Z, with 1,500 miles on it. (talked to the guy after we goofed around) My car if im lucky has 250 hp, and probably has a loss in compression due to some issues i'm having with my 220k motor. We did rolls at 60 mph, i was in 3rd. I gently stayed aheads of him every time, but once when i wasnt changing in my sweet spot. I never left his front bumper but I still held one, it was an auto 287 hp, and bone stock his weighed 3,400 lbs. With him probably 3,600 lbs lol. I have to admit when we got to 110, my gt started gaining more, but thats when we let off.

I rode in a buddies 350Z with 20's on it. It felt like a freakin slot car. Even at 110 mph. So I wouldnt sell one if i had one. I also read its 2006 import tuner car of the year, its got potential, i wouldnt sell it.

Plus, taste is a matter of opinion, you go on this site and there all gonna tell you to buy a GM. Don't get me wrong the LS series is wicked, but can be beaten.

As far as the comment about only mustang one guy would ever own is a GT500, i'm a mustang guy, and that car is either underpowered or a joke. 03 04 Cobra's are only 2 or 3 tenths slower, lighter, and sexier.

Pure sex style
04 Cobra>Mach 1> 350Z> Bullit> Mustang GT> LS1 camaro> Trans am

Power
04 Cobra> Ls1 cam and trans am> Mach1(not far behind) > Mustang GT

Everyone has an opinion if all you want is power you've made the right choice. The 350Z can be made as fast as you want cause we all know rectangle dollars make more power than cubic inches.
