hello from Istanbul
I also was in Ankara for a few days. A lot less to do there. Go to the mall or walk the main commercial street and that was about it. There were a couple good restaurants, however.
Istanbul is where it's at. Very fascinating. visited all of the sights to include Yedikule, blue Mosque, the huge market, military museum, etc. etc. etc. Went clubbing in that district.. can't remember the name. Has a big traffic circle, was North of the main "tourist" area. The Turkish people were friendly and I had a great time.

I've been to Instanbul about 10 years ago .. I didn't see but 1 American pony car .. a 1979 black T/A. One thing I noticed, nearly all the cars there were dinged up a little from the traffic situation there. I hope you're able to keep the fenders on this car!
