Newbie from CT

Been on the site for a month or so, figured I would introduce myself. I'm 18 and from South Windsor, CT. I daily drive a 79 Trans Am, and unfortunately my search for an LS1 has been put off until I finish college. My T/A is stock with only wheels/tires, and some flowmasters. I found it a few towns over with only 61k Miles on it. In 2 years I have put about 10K on it, driving it through the wonderful New England winters. What can I say, I cant afford to by another car. The 69 SS is my Dad's pride and joy. It has a GMPP crate engine, a muncie 4 speed, and a Moser 12 bolt with 3:73's.

Anyways, I figured I would join this site to gain some knowledge about LS1's, because as soon as I am finished with college, one will be sitting in the driveway. The new Camaro's will be out by then...

Thanks for the kind words. It's a red on red 79, with the the 6.6 and A3. It's slow and stock, and it could use a paint job, but as a broke college student those things will have to wait. For now the car gets looks and is dead reliable. It's my pride and joy and I try to take good care of it.

i always wanted one and have been really thinking about getting one and maybe doing a ls1/t56 swap but who knows

I love the car, and I wish I could do that. For now Im searching for a cheap DD, and the T/A goes into storage. After college, it will receive some attention. Current hopes would be LS1/T56 with a KB blower for some low end.
