hey guys, been searching the site for months for tech info . tons of awesome threads on here! definently addicting...but the gf is ALWAYS on my space so what the hell...the car is a 2001 maple red metallic a4 trans am sleek beek (for now) bought it dec. 05 with 60,000 on the od. So the stock ta was awesome for maybe 20-30 full throttle runs then started to feel like it could use a little help ... so started modding about 8 months ago some b4 i found this site and some after. list of mods -1st to last- magnaflow exh. replaced flattened left side y pipi with open round pipe! , superchips power programmer, drilled/slotted rotors , red calipers , air box/k&n , free air mod , tb bypass , 70,xxx fuel pump went out replaced under purchased warranty , 75,xxx slid my baby sideways @ 30ish into a parked car , GDMFSOB & 7k in ins. covered body work, plus 2 mo. without her...looks good as new now , got nitto dr next to help curb the need to kick her out around every corner,lol ,tinted windows 35% only on sides 5% on back. 80,xxx mi. next felt like my rear weel bearings were goin out so got the all rear end bearings replaced under warranty also..lol. got more into do it yourself maintinence switched to syn mobil 1 5w-30 , did tranny fluid pan and convertor flush , then switched to ngk-55's (proud to say got all 8 from top) thanks to this site .. next flushed the coolant sys. then at about 85,xxx tranny starts slipping bad first in 4th only then 3rd to..time for that built tranny and convertor ive been wanting...so got the car back from the tranny shop about a week ago...stalls are f-ing awesome!! anywho got the warranty to cover 1650 of the rebuild cost ..ha ha since they would have covered nothing if they knew preformance parts were goin in it .. total cost came to 2700 so i paid 1100 out of pocket for 3200 stall trans go shift kit beast sunshell alto red bands billit servos max pack and all that good stuff...any who the nitto drags arnt holdin from a dig as well as they used to so must be doin something right..lol future mod plans are within the year... underdrive pulley , headers , and a cam now that my tranny should hold some power....sorry for the long *** thread p.s. again this site is awesome thanks to all the tech experts out there ...heres some pics
