Terminator Owner *gasp*
Hey guys,
My name is Coy, I'm 21, live in tampa, and like cars, especially the loud, fast type.
Yeah, I'm from the evil blue oval . I currently own a 2003 torch red cobra vert (mods and numbers in sig). Have been around chevy cars for a while though. We had an LS1 c5 in the family, then my dad bought an 2002 electron blue z06 new when we lived up in Massachusetts (not from there originally, just spent a few years there for work reasons).
I'm not really a brand loyalist, anything that doesn't sound like a Toro weed whacker is fine by me. The cobra was just the fastest thing I could afford at the time. Been trying to convince dad that the z06 needs some mods, but I realized I know very little about the LS series motors as far as what kind of combos work, so I came here since all the Svtperformance people always bitch about LS1tech, I figured this must be the best place to find LS knowledge.
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and using your knowledge to make our z06 a nasty machine.

Welcome. I'll be in Tampa next weekend for a photo shoot!
Anyways, I almost bought an 04 Oxford White Terminator before I picked up my Supra, but the transmission took a dump two days before I signed the papers. I wish I had just fixed it and bought it.

Welcome, hopefully no one will run you under the bus for driving a Ford. Not trying to start any wars here but I tried to always find a Mustang to run against with my Toro sounding automatic Z24 with it's full interior and street tires at Test and Tunes in SW Ohio.
Why would an old guy driving an automatic Z24 ever look for much besides another Toro to run? I began racing when many tracks used a flag to start you. If you knew you drove a car that always ran 13:80 or better and luck allowed you to perhaps get another .100 or .200 at the tree would you back off much? 30 day tags were also another car to target. Cars badged as something they aren't were another target. Ford wins the prize for that.
I have hope that you'll drive, and own, a Chevrolet or other GM product soon. I hope our new Camaro has the sound of a Mustang

Heres some pics of it, keep in mind, it's really dirty here. I just got it back from the track, and I still have it sitting in the trailer from our clubs track rental.
We actually are a mopar family believe it or not. We race a 74 challenger, tubbed and back halved, ported factory heads, 11:1 compression, 727, and a 8 3/4, last time out, it went 10.50s or so.
8 cars in the family, all american, all v8
Took the pic in the sun, so it looks weird. I really need to take some new pics.
I considered getting "8URZ06". Then the c6z came out, and I figured it might not be a good idea anymore.

It's a nice 10 acre lot (perfect rectangle) the driveway is a 967 ft straight shot, so you can make some 1/8th mile runs if you have good enough brakes to stop at the top end lol.
We built the house and garage ourselves about a year ago. Took forever, but it was worth it.
Found a video of Dad vs Me, please excuse my sisters obnoxious yelling in the background. They are cheering for "Coy" because Dad and I share a name.
Coy II Terminator vs Coy Sr Z06
Just installed a new 10,000lbs Bend Pak hydraulic lift, with adapters for the z06 Here's a pic of the installers working
Let me find the camera, and Ill take a few more pics., altho it's still a bit messy in there.

hey man..that is an awesome car you have..Im actually thinking of getting an 03-04 cobra when i get out of school..two of my freinds have cobras and i love them just as much as i love a camaro or a trans-am. Like you said..i like anything that doesent sound like a weed-eater. One of my buddies has a ported blower, pulley, LT's..and a tune and it made like 498 to the wheels..its crazy how much power you can make with such little money invested into them.
