Default Just got my ss

I have been around camaros my whole life. Me and my dad had a 71 when I was in high school that was my favorite. I just recently bought a 96 z28. I had it less than a week and an old man who was hooked up to an oxygen tank rear-ended me. So I just went out and bought a 98 ss I like it but I think it is a little slower out of the hole. It has borla exhaust but I am thinking about running true duals. any thoughts would be appreiciated.

If i remember correctly the LT1 is better down low and the LS1 is better on the high side. meaning the LT1 has a different torque curve and shows its power sooner and the LS1 has its advantage with having more hp in general and having more torque at higher rpms. hope that helps.

Thanks that did help I didn't even think about that I guess I just got caught in the hype and assumed the ls1 was better everywhere.

That sucks about the old man. At least you're ok. And you got an LS car!

thing you have to remember is they are both 5.7 motors but they are setup alot different as in one has better engineering advancement to it as to the other and different cams, head, intake design,etc.. i wouldn't be disappointed at all. i love my 94 z28 LT1,but i would die for a 02 SLP SS.

dude definatly run dumps. dumps on an ss look so ****** sick its not even funny. and then when your heard cause they are loud as hell and then they see its an ss basically you will cause premature ejaculations and women to fall in love with your car when you cruise and they hear the duals.

I don't know about the pics yet it is just stock besides the exhaust. I am debating between getting duals or leaving the borlas on it. It sounds alright now but duals would be louder.
