Hey dudes! I'm new round here, just found the forum the other day and thought it looked like a pretty knowledgeable place. Bought a "used" 2002 Firebird WS6 Collector Edition Convertible about 2 weeks ago and it is an absolute blast. Quite an upgrade from my previous Toyota Camry

It's got 39k miles on it and it looks like its never been driven -- flawless inside and out. I can't tell you how much I love this car and the attention it gets on the road. It sounds like an absolute monster and I'm glad to hop on board here! Alright, thats all for me!

Thanks guys! I'm actually from the Hampton Roads area of VA, Virginia Beach / Newport News. Right now in Richmond for college (VCU) so that's where you'll find me currently. May15th Ocean City show? That'll be perfect that's right after exams and all that mess. I'm definitely trying to get in on this car show stuff -- I'm pretty new to everything still so I've got a lot of reading to do. Just thought getting up with some other LS1 guys would do the trick.

Mightymouse -- you're in lucky, I'm up in Richmond right now actually. I just signed up at RPM so drop me a line over there or something.

Yeap thats how it works for me too. . . .i finish up exams around the 5th and am back in MD just in time for Cruisin OC. Its a blast and is really just awesome cruising for a couple of days. The show part is entertaining, but cruising around and meeting other ls1ers in the parking lots is the best part.

Awesome, yeah I need to meet some fellow LS1ers. Mods wise I'm not much of a grease monkey so doing anything to the engine isn't really in my playbook right now. I don't care too much about racing it or anything at the moment, but who knows what the future holds? The only things I've thought of so far are purely aesthetic -- blackout the tail lights and maybe throw some 17'' AR TT2 Black rims on it. Other than that I don't really know of any mods to do to it. Like I said, Im pretty new to the whole sports/muscle car scene (my last car was a camry, haha). Maybe lowering it an inch or so could give it a bit of a more aggressive look. I dunno?

And you guessed it Shawn, in those pictures the Lynnhaven river is about 20-30 yards away.

That's cool. I wouldnt recomend doing the tail light blackouts. The cops around here will harass the **** out of you if you do. Once you hang out with the RPM guys and see some of the cars you wont leave yours stock for long. Read some of the stickies on here there is alot of really good basic info and if you ever need any help dont hesitate to ask.
