Default To Jantzer, since PM's are full!

Well, what do ya know, Friday rolled around and no parts. Guess I'll be looking at everyone else's car in the car show tomorrow. Seriously man, what's up?? I sent my stuff to you on Aug. 17th. It is now Sept. 24th. What gives?? I figured it would take you a little longer because the parts had powdercoat on them, but man, I haven't been able to drive my car in 5 weeks. I've really tried to be courteous and patient during this time. This is really a let down after I'd been assured twice this week that I would have my parts by today. I hope you didn't get my order mixed up. I had the TB and MAF that already had chrome powder coat on them. The TB was already ported out. I was getting full polish on both parts with the chrome shaft/spring option. A response of more that one line telling me what's going on would be appreciated.

Are other people still having these issues with Jantzer? I noticed from searching the forum that there were some issues a couple months back. Is this pretty much still the norm??

Mine took about 5-6 weeks to get to me, but I paid the core charge for that reason. I wasn't gonna be without my car for that long. It took him about another two months to get me my core charge back, but I have everything in hand, and all is good. You'll be pissed until you get the TB, but when you see the quality, you'll be very pleased and will almost forget the wait.

He bit off more than he could chew (at least IMO) when he posted his ridiculously low prices on his stuff...it has been my experience that he will not shaft you, but it will take a while to get you the stuff.

I don't have a problem with anyone taking longer to do a great job, which is all I've heard about his quality. I just don't like getting jerked around with promised ship dates that aren't fulfilled and tracking number's that are simply assigned. I received a tracking number on Sept. 17, which got my hopes up, but the parts have yet to ship. I will be beginning the 6th week of waiting as of Sunday.

this seems to be normal for Scott(long wait for parts), i waited 3 weeks after i was told i would have them, i was aware of his time line and sent a core first, so i wouldnt be stranded like many

I am in a similar holding pattern but for the core charge. I got the throttle body after a longer wait than promised. However, as mentioned above, the work was top quality. The only complaint I have is the worrying because when I don't hear anything, I assume bad things are happening.

I would suspect that Scott is ovberly busy with a large workload and is biasing his time on finishing product rather than communicating (no reponse to email or PM lately).

Scott, while I understand your desire to get the product done and regardless of what you do someone will complain, I would personally prefer a slightly longer wait but with a response as to what is going on. It makes many people less nervous as you do have a reputation for delivering product of the value promised. My $0.02 and worth every penny!

Default Just ordered Mine ... check or M.O.?

Well, Scott Jantzer immediately answered when I told him I wamted to buy a red powdercoated TB for my '99 TA. He said that it would ship within 5 business days so long as I added $15.00 for shipment.

I put him a money order in the mail yesterday, so, I anticipate I will see the TB in 10-12 calendar days.

Did you all send him a check or a MO? Maybe if you sent him a check it might take longer waiting for the check to clear because he might have been burnt in the past. If that's the case, then, I guess he should let people know this.

He hired on someone to help him a while back and taught them how to port TB's (at least that's what I read here awhile back), plus, it looks like he's doing alot more than just TB's. I think maybe he did bite off a little more than he could handle, however, hopefully, he's caught up now and can return stuff on time. Who knows, maybe the guy he trained quit and left him 'holding the bag'.

I'll keep you guys posted whether mine gets here on time or not. If his work is as good as people say, then, IMO it's worth a wait, but not more than a couple of weeks.

Just my 2 cents.

Default Jantzer98SS Ported TB

Well, since I included $15.00 priority shipping and sent a Money Order, Scott said the TB would be done in 5 business days, which means I should see it about mid week this week ... at the latest. I'll post when it arrives.

They say he does really good work, so, I'm looking forward to getting it installed. On my '99 T/A, how much difference do you all think I'll see with the ported TB and an LS6 Intake (whenever I can find one).

I ordered a TB last month from him and was told it would ship the next week. I new he took a while to ship parts but I'd like to know a round about time when I'll receive my order. So be it if it's 6 weeks later, just tell me up front so I know and am not worried I'm getting screwed over. I just tried to pm him and his box is full.
