Livernois -tell me about your experience

I had tuning done there a couple of times by Greg Banish, satisfied with their work. Friend just ahd a 383 stroker, blown, nitrous'd done there in a 2000 TA....they are most known for Mustang/Ford stuff, but they are into the LS1's as well...a very reputable Mustang shop in the area...trying to become more into the LS1's I think....I guess Dan Millen is doing the tuning now that Greg is no longer there...

They bought Detroit Speed Works awhile ago(and got in to F-bodies). Had my moms lightning chipped and tuned there. Unit would proabably be the best person to ask on this site.

I have my car there now and it was at Detroit Speedworks. I have known Greg Banish for years and did 43k of bussiness with him laster year alone and was always very happy. When they switched company's and changed to one Livernois My car was shipped over there. I have to be truthfull Livernois became very big very fast and whent through growing pains. I have many buddies that had motors and cars done there and the work is A+ but can take some time to do.
My car has "been worked on" for over a year 14months I think but not all at Livernois and not all there fault. I will say the work do siimply couldn't be better! And I hope to have it done any day now.

Not like it was a large amount of business, but I just had them install my subframes. I originally set up an appointment for a dyno pull and the install, but later called to cancel the dyno portion. When I showed up they had taken me off the schedule for both, but they still took the car. They still fit it into the schedule for the next day and still got it done when they told me they would.

I'm also slightly biased, but had work done on my cars at Livernois long before I worked there. Always been happy with the quality of work, scheduling, etc. You can see a virtual tour of the shop by clicking here.
As others have said, Livernois works on all makes and models, but was known in the past as a Ford shop, but if you go there now, you'll find it's about half and half (GM and Ford).

CYLINDER HEAD DEVELOPMENT CENTER
One of the greatest areas of impact that Livernois excels in is to increase engine efficiency a with a cylinder head package that consists of optimal port size and airflow along with camshaft selections to truly cater the engine to a particular rpm operating range. Our technicians have a long history of drag racing as well as many years of Winston cup research and development. The correct valve job, valve seat angles and widths along with precision seat blending are equally important as the port work itself. These are the little tricks that come from thousands of hours of flowbench and dyno testing that most companys just can’t afford. These studies also insure that we meet requirements for each engine and its intended usage thus achieving the best overall horsepower curve. In addition the whole cylinder head package must be accurately assembled with correct valve springs and parts to properly fit the camshaft and operating range of the engine.

Livernois Motorsports provides three dynamometer capabilities to dyno tune your vehicle or engine.
Our load bearing Mustang Chassis Dynamometer can handle speeds over 200 miles per hour and over 1700 rear wheel horsepower.
The Mustang Dynamometer allows for accurate tuning with integrated air/fuel and boost monitoring under real-world loading conditions. This means a safe tune with plenty of power.
Our Super Flow Engine Dynamometer can handle up to 2,000 horsepower and 10,000 RPM. Used on everyday street engines, to full blown race applications,
our dynamometer specialists can maximize the performance of your engine before installing it into a vehicle.
Our portable Dyno-Jet Chassis Dynamometer can be used at our service center or set-up at your location. This system is accurate, easy to use, and very popular

I have not had my car worked on there (tuned by Banish at DSW), but I buy parts there, and know some employees personally. They are good people. Anyone who has ever heard of Dan Millen knows that they have a serious commitment to making cars fast, too. I am ordering a Corsa cat-abck in their GP right now.
