Good luck to you getting it fixed. Maybe Dave or the arbitrators will make a deal with you two to send it to a competent tuner for resolution. If the tuner can fix it, you pay for the service. If the tuner cannot fix it, Dave pays for the tune.

this idea works great for me. i doubt dave will go for it. last time car was at his shop i asked him to put in a new tranny & see if it would slip. if it did i said i'll go away it's not the trans. if it didn't slip i would keep that one & work out any difference. instead he said he fixed it. it lasted about 2 weeks & started slipping again

well we can't even get a response from dave thru the local BBB. he claims he is member in good standing. i think they like their members to respond to complaints.
sorry to say i must look elsewhere for a quality transmission. currently talking to others. that's the good news there are alot of options available.several sponsers of this site are eager to build & stand behind their products.

I can give some feedback on Dave and Rock-On.
The guy has bent over backwards to help me out and enjoys what he does.
More than that, he enjoys watching his transmissions at work.
I personally converted from a 6 Speed and do not trust the computer.
Dave built what I wanted, a full manual valve body 4L60.

He explained to me the pros/cons, and let me make an informed decision.

I am sorry you are having issues with yours, guess that is why I hate computers.

Well all I here is that it bounces on 2-3 shift . Is that the only thing it does wrong if you drive it light throtle does it hold 3rd and 4th or does it fall out? I work on 4l60e's everyday and there isnt one that should whoop any ones *** this bad . I have a device one of many out there trans x which lets you drive electronicly controlled transmissions with out the use of any sensors on the rest of the car or the computer eg: if you want to shift it early and be in 4th gear at 20mph or take off in 4th gear thats what you can do it also lets you adjust line pressure and tcc apply. THE TRANSMISSION CAN ONLY DO WHAT IT IS TOLD. IF IT DOESNT GET THE RIGHT SIGNAL IT WONT SHIFT RIGHT. Bad tps, vehicle speed, and on moded cars alot of hacks can leave ground wires off and certain vehicles recieve transmission ground through o2 sensors, ignition switches go bad on GM vehicles with 4l60e's all the time, people dont get good reputations for screwing people, but they do only get pushed so far, and can only give so much. I deal with people all day that want hand outs or dont understand that its more than just a transmission its not the 70's anymore checking the fluid level and cable/modulator isnt enough. And if you are that dumb to post that after rock on couldnt fix it you take it somewhere else and it still doesnt work, what does that tell you?

agree with what you said. at some point you want your car to run so bad you go looking for help wherever you can get it. i think dave tried very hard to fix it but it never held for more than a week. once it shifts it says in gear for the most part. it will wonder some times. upshift then downshift at steady throttle. i just want to have my car run right. i have paid everybody for any work that was done & am preparing to start over again with new tranny. it's too bad i am forced to go somewhere else. regardless of the trans issue & with all these posts not one time has dave responded or apoligized for all the damage that was done to my car the 6 times it was at his shop. grease on the convertiable top, scratches on the hood & trunk, broken bell housing pinched wires between bellhousing & block etc. i bent over backwards to work with him i even listened to his cheerleaders & changed my tuning from LS1 edit to HP Tuners still didn't work. the old saying goes you do somebody a good job they'll tell 2-3 of their friends you do them a bad job they'll tell everybody they know. unfortuanatly i fall into the second group

Well if your story is 100% true I understand where you are coming from Ive been stroked off in every which direction while spending top dollar but I am just dieing to see what your car would do on trans x and I cant believe when it comes down to all this that somebody down there doesnt have this type of testing equipment to work with on your car it makes diagnostics so simple and fast and would clear things up one way or the other right then and there.

Had the break out box on this unit...had the unit on the dyno. pressures are as fallows ...Idle 90 psi @ 14psi vac. at wot 235 psi @ 0 vac. shift differantial on the 1-2 shift 30psi with a shift time of .02 sec. 2-3 shift, differantial was 50 psi with a recovery time of .02 sec.
Times are text book bty. 3-4 clutch has no signs of slipping....band is flawless. Found a tear in the valve body gasket area under the manual valve in a dead circuit. Run the car on the street with breakout box, perfect shifts never hitting the liminter. As far as buying another transmission lets do this ...bring your car up...I'll set up a manual valve body for this test, we'll take the tunning out of the picture and we'll see what happens....seems simple to me ...and willing to do it..oh lets set it up so you can take it to sanger to test it under wot...I don't like wot on the street...Just my 2 cents ...Frank anytime one of my units doesn't shift it's my problem. I've never had one that wouldn't shift and you'll not be the first. Hope this helps Dave
