My understanding is that F-Man and Rock-On are both talking via the BBB. Based on what Rock-On is saying, he's never said 'don't bring the vehicle' back but he's tired of F-Man jumping on here and ranting while not addressing the problem.

Both F-Man and Rock-On please get your last licks in, and then it's lock time. You can post the outcome but do it in a new thread.

Personally I'd have no problem buying a Rock-On T400 for my car right now.

got a rock-on tranny here and it works great had to do a little tuning but that had nothing to do with how the transmission works which is very well

 

My Rock On Stage 4 4L60E should be shipping any day now, can't wait to put that bad boy in.

i got a rock-on 4l60e....shipped it to me after my stock one broke..i had a yank 4000 stall...he warrantied the whole thing even if it risk contamination...the day it put in the pump broke on the transmission. even after deeming it mis installulation...he still said ship it over ill fix it under warranty....so two thumbs up for rock-on on my part

the bbb sent me rock on's response which was copies of all the post on this site? also included copies of rock on warranty. which was not even in effect at the time i bought my Tranny from them. you have seen the suggestions that have been made by other members of this form with no response from Rock on. the car has been at RPM in Lewisville Tx getting the electric cut out wiring harness that rock on ruined replaced. i had them check the tune with their HP tuners soft ware. they said everything is correct with the tune. STILL SLIPS on the 2-3 shift. but hey check the posts thats not rock on's problem. i have the core 4l60E boxed up shipping to a real tranny builder tomorrow. i'll let you know what happens when it comes back. at that time i'll be sending this rock on POS to a tranny shop to have it taken apart & pictures made of what they find. they offered to do this for free. i also filed a complaint with the texa Atty. gen office for deceptive trade practice. i'll post that when i hear back

as i have said before i'm sure there are good tranny's out there from rock on. i had one for about a month. i don't know why dave has chosen to ignore my issues. he could have avoided all this. it was up to him i just wanted what i paid for nothing more. never once has he comminted on all the damage that was done to my car while at his shop. what would you do?

 

OMG.....Frank, like I've expressed before you took it upon yourself to explain to everyone in Nov. of 2005...That you took your transmission to someone else Had it rebuilt and it was working fine....You Sir!! put that out....It wasn't asked for.... you took it upon yourself to put it out.... Frank the moment someone else rebuilt my unit ...it no longer was mine!!!! According to you it was working fine after their rebuild.... again something you put out...It wasn't asked for.... it just came outa your mouth.....Or from your side.....I notice in your mumblings about Rock-On, you never mention your blown engine or your two failed used torque converters.. Why is that Frank??? Like you we've got pictures, and witnesses, and a company attorney and all that bullshit...Look forward to sitting across the table from you and yours and finally putting this behind us...Hope this helps ...Dave

 

well like the adim. said keep it clean. since you brought it up about my mumblings, as you put it. i haven't mumbled one bit it's all there in black & white. so at least get the facts straight. i paid you for a tranny with a warranty i have the reciete. it lasted about 1 month. same tune & mods on the car when your unit broke & when you rebuilt it. when it broke the first time ( stock unit) it had a used mid-west converter. now check YOUR reciete & records when you built it the first time we put a new Yank ss 4000 converter in it. i have that reciete as well. got it back after second rebuild hit rev limiter on 2-3 shift. after several trips back to your shop with multipal damage done to my car, you won't even address this i guess thats ok for a customers car to be damaged while installing a tranny. i have pictures, witnesses & reciets for over $700 on this stuff!! what about that Dave? (hope this helps). blown motor? i don't think that has anything to do with your workmanship? but it did happen on one of those 50 mile return trips from your shop with a tranny you said was fixed that still hit the rev limiter on 2-3 shift. just in case you don't know LS1 motors are notorius for bad oiling the motor spun a main bearing. ( hope this helps)
yes i took it somewhere else, you couldn't fix it!!! to my knowledge all they did was take off the pan & make some adjustments? i don't know as anybody who has read this stuff i think would agree I JUST WANTED MY CAR TO WORK RIGHT!! but this is a good out for you
what you should have done was offered a refund or did what i asked & others on this forum suggested. when i talked to the folks at the BBB they didn't have a clue as to what all those copies of thread postings where. they thought you where mumbling!
something else this little deal has cost you...regardless of the outcome you no longer have a clean record with the BBB. now i have a reasonable length of time to file in small claims court. so i'll let it sit for awhile. 1500 views of this thread, think you have lost any potential customers? it didn't have to be this way i sent you a PM on some of this stuff you posted it up here i'm just telling my side of the story & as we all know there are at least 2 sides to any story. i ordered my new trans from the guy you told me you learned from buy geting his tranny's & taking them apart. hope this helps

What is he supposed to do? Somebody else has rebuilt the transmission.. it is not his.

He can't warranty somebody elses work.
