Problem, new A&A shortblock tearing up
#141
Andy, the whole build has been on the forum. I never said this failure was your fault and had been running on the assumption made after reading your first post in this thread.
I am not a liar when I told you that there was NEVER any noise from this engine, and at least 10 people heard it running within it's last hours who can say the same. The comment I contiune to get from peers is "damn, that thing never made ANY noise, never even ticked", and it's a quiet car with a full catback exhaust.
As far as the offer on credit for the rods towards an engine, this is the first time you made it. Regardless, I'd like to just get back what you have. I will be happy to pay for your time packing it up and shipping it. I think I am going to take a different route with the next engine. I am having a hard time with the only $1200 difference statement though.
I'm not trying to spin this to make you look bad. I did not say it was your fault. I was previously relieved by your earlier post and let down by these. I'm not going to walk away from this with ill-will or slander the name of A&A when it comes up. I just want to get the best I can for the dollar spent and get back in my car and get to driving. I'm very disappointed in how things have gone and I'm ready to move on.

Yes it does. It seems more than strange, especially to the people who were around for it's last running period. They are much more in doubt about some things than I.

I think its a bad situation for all, but even worse when you make a promise or statement to fix or replace the engine for free on a public forum and then recant. Shows potential business the faith in that company, or lack of.

Replacing the lifter if I still have proof of purchase... but they gave me a hard time about whether it was the cam, lifter, or something else that led to the lifter's failure...

Sorry Frost that you have to deal with this... it is all BS and people should keep their word just BS

Even if I DO find one of the above mentioned errors, I'll STILL replace or rebuild the motor at NO CHARGE but not help with the install labor

The owner of that car never approached A&A for any remuneration or placed blame (as he should not have) at anytime until yesterday – that’s two and half years later! Reeks to me like an orchestrated move by the likes of you and few other contemptible show-offs.
You are one full-of-crap individual….
