My experience with LG Motorsports
Hey all,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but it seems like a reasonable one. I'm pretty sure that LG is a sponsor, but if I'm wrong I apologize for the "illegal" post. I thought I would share my experience with LG Motorsports with you guys.
I never really cared to do business with LG because they seem to lean so heavily towards 'vettes, and it's been my experience that shops that lean towards a particular vehicle could care less about you if you drive something else. Up until yesterday the only thing I'd purchased from them was LCAs and only because they had what I wanted at the best price and were local.
Today my opinion is different. I had a set of pushrods overnighted to me by Thunder Racing on Tuesday, and when 4:00 rolled around yesterday I was worried. This was the only part I had left to be able to start the engine I had been rebuilding for the past three months. I took a day off of work for this very purpose and was pissed when I found out that TR hadn't shipped them yet.
I called LG because they were local and asked if they had the PRs I needed. They said they did and talked to me fairly extensively about what length I should use. I explained that I might not be able to get there in time, and the guy I was talking to offered to stay late as much as 90 minutes. I was amazed. Luckily, I got there on time.
Another problem I had run in to on this particular day was that a tool I was using to pull my crank pulley on was not working properly. To make a long story short, it needed to be tacked in a couple places. I brought it along without mentioning it and when I arrived at LG, I asked if they could tack it for me. Without hesitation they took it from me and said, "I'll be right back." After being there 10 minutes I had the last part that I needed to get my car started and a functioning pulley installer (the latter free of charge).
So, to sum it all up, LG made it possible for me to get my engine put back together and fired up last night. They had to go out of there way to do so, and I think that's worth sharing with my fellow LSxers.

It is nice to hear this about them. They have been good to me in the past And I am pretty far away. I purchased a set of weld on SFC's from them. Very nice product for a very nice price.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the Comments. Ive been there, late nights, needing parts and "Stuck" at a point where you can go no further with out the right parts. It isn't fun.
I do stay late, I am a workaholic, and I bet at some point I will end up posting up my cell for people to call late nights when they too, are "stuck" at that point.
Gauge, I was the guy that welded up your crank tool and said that I would pay for the pushrods if they were not correct I stand behind what I say, and had I drug you out to buy these pushrods and they were not correct, I would have paid for them, no questions asked.
Im Glad everything worked out. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Im at the shop minimum 12 hours/day, most of the time more, and full time now. Phone is the best, email second.
Thanks again
Louis
