Ace Racing Transmission
Let me first discuss my problem. I bought a 2100$ GTO transmission from a member on here, to say the least he lied about the quality and professionalism of the transmission. It would not shift under WOT, and it would sparaticly shift under normal acceleration. Needless to say, this tranny was a piece of **** and a giagantic waste of time and resources. Then, I had a transmission shop in missouri take a look at it, to try and solve the problem. 3 days, 200 bucks, 2 new silinoids and no guarentee of its "performance" I still had the same problem. ( The trans shop told me "it will shift fine now, but because your throwing a code and its a racing transmission,we cant guarentee it!) Im thinking OKAY!!! as long as it works im HAPPY!!!!
WRONG, didnt work right and im back to square one.
So I take my car back to oklahoma because im disgusted with the proceedings. A little time went by when I see ACE Racing Transmission's helping another member with a th400 build, I say to myself "hey" those are cheap and strong, maybe I can find a cheap one. He quotes me X amount and I tell him its out of my price range, I share with him my string of bad luck and blah blah blah.... within the hour, we've arranged a deal that satisfied us both. I get my car trailered the following week and bring it to him. By this time its obvious to me that Gilbert is a class act and a trustworthy mechanic. The likes of which in my short life have never seen. I've always gone the cheap "non professional" route, and it cost me big thus far.
During the following 8 days, I would call to check on progess and everytime I would be greeted with a friendly voice, which again was a change to me. I was used to "sorry bud, havent gotten to it today" or a no answer on the phone with previous "so called mechanics." There were cars infront of my build, but it only took them around a day to fix it when they got to my trans.
So, to get to the happy ending part of my story, I am no longer afraid to punch it in fear of hitting the rev limiter and the disusting sound of it not shifting. It shifts FLAWLESS, and everytime. once you hear "it is what it is" you'll know your getting great and trustworthy service, WITH A GUARENTEE
Thanks again Gilbert, the ride home was a little squirly!

Jesse,
Thanks for the opportunity to help you out and thanks for the kind words here. It's always cool when a win/win deal goes down like it was planned!
I'm glad to see that you guys made it back home safely, it was a bit late when you set out on your trip home last night!
Stay in touch, let me know when you are heading to Denton for some TnT and I'll be sure to meet you out there.

I'll be down your way sometime this year to showoff your trans Gilbert, lol... You plan on going to the LSx shootout this year? I'll be there, then in FL the last two weeks of October for ODR Championships and Street Nationals..

I can't say where I'll be this year Matt. I sure as hell am going to try to hit the Street Nat's. Have a good friend in Fla I wanna see.
As far as the TTP car... we agreed to Level 10 Black, Area 51 Top Secret if you talk you never get to go to a track again silence until it has a few hits.
As far as the Shootout... yeah I wanna take the Nova just for grins. I might even talk the owner into Orlando. Too early to tell though. Lot's of irons in the fire with lot's of cars.

Matt, I wasn't going to say anything about it being a FWD unit... but now that the cat's out of the bag... here it is folks.
Matt and I have been working on a very custom / hybrid one of a kind F-Body LSx FWD conversion that we believe will run sub 9.xx's.
I wasn't gonna say anything, but it's done. Sorry man.
