Question Best LSX engine builder?

I need to know who can do it. I have heard people say they can, but havent met one that actually will do it. I wanna know who can build a serious *** LSX. Im not talking about someone who can build a badass 700hp 427 or some crap, I need someone who can build a 900+ n/a motor. I had a motor built that made 850hp, 55 grand later and 15 passes at the track I have a blown motor. That 55k doesnt include the 80k I have spent on the chassis.

I know Futral has build quite a few 800+ hp engines that hold up well. They were build before the LSX even came out and still running strong.

How serious am I? I have 25k dollars worth of parts sitting in my shop with a smokin *** chassis craving an 8 second pass. This car was built to set a n/a record. I have contacted W2W but they wont use any parts that arent new and they purchase. I have a set of c5r heads that flow 420 w/manley custom valves, jesel lifters, jesel rockers, a callies crank that is so light I can hold it with my pinky, dailey 5 stage dry sump, two diferent sheet metal intakes, jesel belt drive, Diamond pistons with every possible option you can get,the most badass turbo 400 TCI can possibly build, 4 link suspension, 25.2 cage etc...etc.. Just imagine the best LSX with the most badass parts money can buy, and thats what I have. Its a really long story that Im not about to get into right now, but It has a fucked piston, trashed the c5r block, tore up 1 jesel lifter, and bent a manley valve. If the person I need to build a motor of this cailber is someone that isnt a sponser on this site please just send me a private message. Who built the 440s?

Brian at LME or Erik Koenig at HKE come to mind. Brian is building my 418 LS3 as we speak! Can't go wrong with either one!

I am familiar with at least one of the above mentioned engines. There's a picture around here somewhere...

Unfortunately, as W2W said, good engine builders insist on using the parts they provide for a mill in this class. Your goals are lofty, so EVERYTHING has to be correct in both the design and the execution. IMO, there has to be a little out of the box thinking to get where you want to go NA. Some of the parts needed don't exist in the marketplace.

IMO, $55Gs is about $10Gs high.

Morgan, what happened to your engine? I didnt know you had made any passes since Allan rebuilt it? Last I heard it was a slightly more "mild" combo that made over 840 flywheel. Did this go south?

Give me a buzz sometime man. I havent talked to your or Bobby in ages!!!

As mentioned above there are several good builders here and not on this site. W2W has a lot of experience. Kurt knows the LSX engines. Erik has built a lot of LS engines as well.
It's a short list of those who have built 900+ NA engines. Also there are not a lot of builders who have 1500+ LS power adder engines to their credit.

Jeff Stealy built my first engine with the C5 R heads. It made 930.

Brian Tompson built my second engine. We went 8.59 on motor at Reynolds on the 26th of March.

Kenny Duttwieler is another good builder.

I can post a link to the story on the first engine if you want.

Good luck!

Robin

Just as others have said Erik at HKE or W2W. As Robin said, there are a few others out there as well, but these guys have a lot of LS-based knowledge as well.

Morgan, Two shops. Erik Koenig is first. Brian and Pecos at LME are also TOP notch.

They know the right people to get you in the area.

Really making 900hp NA with LS cubes is not an easy task. Look at who is building the fastest NA LS engines, if they have not built an NA engine in the 8's before, you don't want to be guinea pig.

I agree with Old SStroker, your asking for a gourmet meal, you need to let the chef choose exactly the correct ingredients.
