Might be one of those instances where you have to be careful what you wish for.
In the end I guess it all depends on what you want to do with it. Are you planning on going to the track ever? If not there's no point in having that kind of power and spending $7k+ just to say you have that much power. I'm all for having something different that no one else has, but personally I think it's a waste of money on these cars.
As for the "Drop 5K on A/V and call it a day": REALLY?!
What is the point of something like that? Drop $5K on a HOME A/V setup, that at least has a point. A nice 50" HDTV for $3K~ and then the $2K for a killer surround system. I get so confused when people want to put a shitload of audio in a performance vehicle. All the people dropping 100+lbs of weight in F-Bodys, I don't understand it. My car came with factory 10 speaker setup, and I'm sure all it weighs a good 40-50lbs, but it sounds amazing! I absolutely love it and would only upgrade the speakers quality and try to still keep the size down. It puts out the perfect amount of bass, mids and highs and really compliments any music you listen to due to the total immersion in the audio. It would be sweet to convert it to surround, since I do have a couple surround sound DVDs (Nine Inch Nails has 2 or 3 of them).Just do like my buddy, get the fancy stock DVD/Nav setup and then if you still need more, update the speakers to better quality. Bigger isn't always better.
