Went to the dealership yesterday....
I've been looking at 3 other cars lately, the G8GT, GTO, and CTS-V. I went by my local dealer last night and they don't have any G8's or caddys in stock but they can get hold of an 06 GTO if i want to do a trade in. So i want your guys opponions. I know some of you have GTO's as well and would like to see how you think they compare. Here is a link to the specific car im talking about.

If you don't need 4 doors and FWD, then it should be an easy descision. GTO>GXP. You'll have alot more fun in the GTO. RWD, M6, aftermarket for the LS2 is obviously alot better than for the LS4. Not sure how much they go for so I don't know if that's a good price or not, but in general if you want a GTO I say go for it.
FWIW, for the same price you could get a used G8GT most likely, if you were to find one.

I would assume the your talking about a used cts-v because the new wons are $70,000 and have 556HP but i would still go with the used cts-v i think they look sweet and you dont see alot of them on the road and they have the ls2

Yes i was talking about the LS6/2 CTS, I have looked all over for decent priced V's or G8's in the area and i just haven't found any. I also agree the price is high but i will walk out on the deal if they don't work with me.

06 GTO's are going for $18k around here, shop around on their prices a little more. Also, 01 Z06's are going for the price of the 06 GTO you posted so that's another option although a lot less practical. There is a 01 Z06 I'm looking at for $17,500 locally that is hella tempting me.

Anytime man. I'm on the roads quite often after 9 on the weekends. I'm going to Cahokia tomorrow to look at the Goat, and maybe test drive it. I wish there was a Caddy for a good price in this area but i haven't seen one, im still looking though and i'm not making any decisions yet.

Go with the GTO, ten years from now your going to be scratching your head and regreting.....there pretty scarce right now even for being a fairly new car, but in ten years plus, consider yourself lucky if you see one or two on the road per summer......depending where you live.
