Default Doing some massive work to my car.

Things i am doing:
Porting Throttle Body/Throttle Body Spacer
Porting Intake
Porting Exhaust Manifolds
Dei wrapping and spraying exhaust mani's
HS 1.8 Rockers
Comp Cams oil restrictive push rods
PAC 918 Springs
Fixed massive brake fade issue.

Me and two friends started working on this project Thursday night at 8:30.
We ripped apart the engine down to the block and took everything out which took until about 4:30 in the morning.
The next day my friend Chris worked from 4pm to 3am porting my stuff out. Than for another 4 hours this morning.
While he ported the stuff out, we bleed all my brakes and put new dot 4 brake fluid in. My current fluid was all sludgey and black. it was boiling and causing my brakes to fade completely out after one hard stop.
I wrapped the manifolds and crossover and all of the parts are ported out. We started doing the valve-train when we ran into a snag. When we went to do the rear left rockers we realized we had to remove the alternator . So that's where we stand right now. Hopefully we can get the car finished up tomorrow morning. On day 4.

Man sounds like alot of work! If I recall correctly I believe you can work around the alternator? I may be wrong, but I thought I read that before.

Wow! That thing will be a beast when you are done. Good luck with it. Let us all know how it feels when you are done.

The only things the dealer will visually see is the wrap and the spacer; other than that they will be oblivious...

The only things I can see going wrong is if he ports the throttle body too much or doesn't torque the rockers down enough. I think you'll be fine dude.

I may be in the minority but even when my car was under warranty I worked on the problems myself. I do NOT trust dealers working on my car. I wanted things done right so I did all the work myself.

I took the day off today from working on it. I dont see a way to work around the alt, there isnt even enough room to get a socket wrench in there. I have no idea how much of a port was dont in comparison to what others were doing. I am expecting to throw a code or two with the tb but we will see.
My friend told me i should not beat on it for like 5 or so miles so that the computer can "learn" the new mods. Anyone know anything about this?
It is a crazy amount of work now we have to be like 25+ hours in. I am hoping to finish tomorrow and i will def post my results. I wont be able to get it tuned for a few weeks. I plan on at least tuning it again to 6500rpm.

Yeah, I had to remove the alt to get to the rockers, and especially to get a spring compressor in there to replace valve springs.

Trust me, you really want to go get the right tool to move the belt tensioner when it comes time to reinstall the belt.

so i spent another 12 hours or so on the car and finally got finished at like 1am. I had to use valve cover spacers for the new rockers. Than i had to modify the alt mounting bracket buy cutting a big chunk out. The car's valve train is much quieter. I fixed my brake issue so now i dont get any brake fade. I pushed it a little bit but i hada lot of extra weight in my car so its hard to tell if i see any gains yet. I did not tune it yet either. I was able to touch the manifolds and crossover though after driving it for while so the wrap works well. On the downside the accessory belt broke like 30 minutes into testing it so now i have to wait till tomorrow to get my belt replaced by the dealer.

I got the dealer to install the new belt but my pulleys are not aligned correctly. To fix the issue you need a special tool that most dealers do not have. The dealer ordered the tool so thats a new chapter in the whole issue lol.
