Default Factory Catalytic converter size

Can anyone give me the dimensions of the factory cat, as well as inlet/outlet sizes? A PN for a high flow replacement would work too if anyone's done the research

Are you just going to replace the factory cat that is on the car now without replacing the downpipe too? To be honest, I'd replace both since the factory down pipe is restrictive too. The factory cat flows pretty good.

I was going to buy the shorty DP and replace the factory cat. I just can't see spending $300 for a 3 ft piece of pipe and a converter. I don't know though, maybe you guys can convince me? What kind of dyno proven results are you getting with the full catted DP?

Don't want to go catless? I picked up ~5mph on the traps from a cutout & catless DP.

What u-bend are you guys talking about? I don't see what you guys mean on the stock downpipe...or on the hogan dp either.

Down pipe comes off the crossover pipe and houses a cat and O2 sensor. the U-bend is a tight bend to move the O2 sensor away from the floor. Hogan Performance makes a high flow version.

the u-bend isn't gonna gain you anything... don't worry about it...

had 4 exhaust pro's look at it on my Monte, and all of them said it wasn't an issue... the bend was so sllight, removing it isn't going to gain you anything...

If the dealer plugs the car up to a diagnostic machine, will they be able to tell that the rear O2 sensor was tuned out, or that the cat has been gutted?
