Track night tomorrow 1st time this year
http://www.pittsburghracewaypark.com/
Entering the gambler's race if anyone is local to here and is interested in meeting up, that would be cool.
13.9@99.5 last year 75 deg. bolt-ons no shift kit (K&N, Hogan downpipe, Classic Chambered muffler). Now shift-kit and Superchips programmer (revised shift points +500 rpm and 5 mph 1st gear, plus 500 rpm and 7.5 mph 2nd gear). I may even try it once with the shift pressure up 20% (right now it's at the Superships value and is pretty firm). Question, I heard some people have removed the K&N filter totally. Any pluses or negatives of doing this? Have not gotten my spacer on yet (may try to do that tomorrow) and not sure if it will make any difference. Will have my Redline treatment done when I go to the dyno (test before and after) to see if these are any gains. Track run again. Those pulstar plugs will be after that and another track run. This will also be a good test for my new Federal SS-595 tires. Everything I can take out of the car is coming out (seats, trunk, glove comparment and center console).
Here is the weather for tomorrow (possible showers but I'm goin' anyways):
Low 80s test n tune starts at 6:30pm time trials a bit later. Hopefully in the 70s with a dry track later. Also, hope they have cars in my ET range. Any input is appreciated.

Times
13.9 was with just bolt-ons last year (run was in November). Here are my times for this year NOT HAPPY Weather was weird seemed to start cooling down but humidity went up. Found at that running the A/C was helping cool the car down. Scanner won't work so I could show you the slips, so here it is.
Gambler's Race Bracket Racing
1st Run
Tires at 28lbs. everything that could be removed was, TC off Federal SS-595 pull nice off the line with little spin.
2.37 60 ft car bogs then catches 14.43@98.75
2nd Run Tires at 26 lbs. and ABS/TC/Stabilitrak fuse removed
2.04 60ft 14.22@97.72 (should have dialed in at this number)
Superchips program holds the extra 5mph and 500 rpm in 1/2 shift but does not hold it 2/3 shift (shifted at stock rpm while in drive). Have to use Tapshift to get the extra 7.5 mph an 500 rpm.
3rd Run Tires at 26 lbs. Track official comes over to tell me to wait for some reason and the distractionMY DUMB *** FORGETS TO TURN OFF THE A/C!!! This is my first run for the money and I get killed. I dialed in at 14.00 hoping the cool air would help me run better. Should have dialed in at 14.2 and let the car do its thing like in run 2.
2.08 60ft. 14.4913@94.38 (and you can see what a/c does to mph). Other car dialed in at 11.25 and did a 1.66 60ft 11.4093@115
He was .1593 off the dial I was .4913 off the dial. All the numbers matter in bracket racing.
Now, seeing as I had run a 14.22, if I could have made a similar run to number 2, I figure I would have run 14.20 to 14.3 and stayed in it. Had I won that race, I would have been the only street car left as every other one had been eliminated. I would have loved to get back to you and said, guess what, I beat a 7 second dragster for $600. But, wish in one and **** in the other. Learning experience. Hopefully better runs next time. Check out my post on the Superchips programmer and the benefits of Water Wetter. Peace.

Wow, they let you run the a/c there? Tracks around here would kick you out if they see you running a/c.
Bummer about the times, with less humidity and cooler temps you'll be good to go.

Im using the Crane gold race adjustable roller rocker kit with LS6 valve springs . The kit is LS engine specific and is very easy to install if your patient and have a day to kill. My 0-60 mph went from 5.6's to consistent 5.3's with bald front tires. I have hit a few 5.1's but not too often. I need to raise my shift points to 6200-6300 RPM cause 5900 just doesn't cut it anymore. After my Intake install It will go to 6500 I bet. Good bye DOD lifters! If the intake works out then I'm going do some serious trans upgrades. 3.29's or 3.69's will be installed.
