Hey William,
I also am now thinking of doing the res delete on the cat-back. Since you have basically the same set up, how do you like it? Did you ever run with it on before you took it off? Quite of bit of difference if you did??? Also, is there any/alot of drone in the cabin while cruising down the road??

Just was a bit disappointed with the sound as stated with one of my previous posts, so looking for something to remedy that with.. Hoping this may be the ticket.. Just wanted to know how yours turned out....

Thanx

I had the res on my car for a year with the magnaflow, I took it off last year, the sound was deeper and little ras at revs (sometimes) there is some drone in the cabin (DOD)

as far the whistle noise, I tighten the clamp by the flex, still whistles, I think its the dp weld, louder under the car, taking my car to the shop next week and getting the mechanic to check, I'll be in the car and reving it on the hoist.

That's what I was thinking. My GTP had a 1/2" of weld missing on top too. I am going to very careful and make sure I get the whole thing. 3 weeks and counting... Feels like forever...

I listen to the sound under the hood, but seems louder under the car....so I'm hoping its the weld as well.

Drive more worry less! Thats my new moto. Recheck for leaks after your next oil change. You should be able to see signs of soot, black smokey **** you can easily rub off.

Agreed I found that the gasket was bad between the res and the cat so I replaced the gasket and used a copper sealant with it all's good now for the weld tomorrow.

Just finished header/shift kit and pretty sure the whistle sound is coming from the flex. Turned the radio up and it went away so I guess it is what it is. shift kit I'd nice as well. It seems to really let the car get into high rpm although first gear is a total waste now.

Well its a cold day here, so I decided to start the car to see if the smoke comes out of the flex pipe, flex pipe welds on top is leaking, about a size of a good sized nail.... Looks like its cracking more around that area.
I called the mechanic who intstalled it and he said being the car by on Monday and see if it can be welded. I knew that the flex pipe is in a bad spot.

Is DT still doing these headers for the group buy? I took a look at his website and they were like $960. The $600 or so you guys paid was a steal! I am graduating college in May and I think my parents are giving me a pretty good amount of money, so no better time than now to invest in some headers!!!

No idea. I think williamGT wiped his hands of it so you would need to contact Nick directly.

the flex pipe tick is a common problem, ZZP has a nice piece that will take care of the problem if it bothers you.

I've developed a nice whistle...I'm trying to determine if it's the headers/exhaust or the belt.

I had the mechanic look at the exhaust, he says the downpipe has to come off and get welded, say couple of hours to do.
